Someone got the math wrong

I bought this product today. I have no idea if the humidity is ready correctly. I would assume it is however since the temperature is completely off, I can't tell.

I think someone got the calculation wrong. It says my apartment (which is very warm) is 12C which equals 53.6F. But, if I switch to farenheit, it says it is 9F which equals minus 12C.

Its going back tomorrow.
