My 6 1/2 year old son was diagnosed with severe dust mite allergies and severe mold allergies when he was 3 1/2 years old.  He also had enlarged adenoids.  He always had circles under his eyes.  He used to breathe very loudly.  We have been using the honeywell true hepa for medium rooms since he was 3 and a half years old.  It is fantastic!  I like the fact that I can buy replacement filters.  I don't want to take the chance of having dust mites on the old filter.  I don't want to vacum the filter.  I like having new filters.  What is the deal out there people?  This is about your health!  Please Honeywell, do not stop offering people the option to buy replacement filters.  The permanent sounding option is fine for some people, but for my son's health, I want to replace them every 3 months.  I want to know that I am installing brand new filters every time.  We leave the hepa on high during the day when he's at school, and then turn it off at night.  Sometimes during the night I put it on low in my son's room.  I have been very happy with it.  His room is small, and we bought the unit for medium rooms.  We will be buying a unit for large rooms and putting it in his room, and using the medium one for another room in our house.  We are looking for an extra large one from Honeywell for our living room, since he plays there.    The next house we buy, we will be sure to install a true hepa unit into our furnace, or else we will be looking into it for our current house.  My sister in law put one in her house and loved it. Her son did very well. 

My dad purchased one of these purifiers for my house due to chronic allergies and keeping bronchitis on a 3-month basis.  Since having this in my living room in October 2009, I have had one episode of bronchitis, and have since done away with my allergy medicine.  I took the cover off to vacuum the wrap-around filter, and to my surprise, there was appx. 1/2" of dust, hair, dander, among other particles.  It wasn't until that time that I knew this was one of the best investments I could own.  It is a swoosh noise, but not too loud, and is easily adaptable.  I would highly recommend this to anyone for their home.  It also puts out fresh, cooler air out the top which is very good for circulating the air.  I have no negative comments on this product, but that's just my opinion.  Products of this nature should be a built in mandatory accessory on every home's air conditioner/furnace.  Thanks Honeywell!

Cleans air great , but is very noisey. At night must keep production on low in order to sleep. Daytime must turn TV up when on high volumn.  Will not get another product . Need something with quiet control.
