I never got the right temp reading at first just slightly off then it it keep reading in the 98 range when her fever was 102.

Broken with 3 weeks
The thermometer worked great for 2 weeks. Now it will not read temperatures.

Great Thermometer
This is an excellent device. I had a thermometer that measured in the ear however I never could find replacements for the tips. This device is even easier to use.

VICKS FOREHEAD THERMOMETER V977
THIS PRODUCT WORKED FOR 5 READINGS AND THEN DID NOT RECORD THE TEMPERATURE LATER THAT EVENNING WHEN I NEEDED IT FOR A SICK CHILD. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH A KAZ VICKS THERMOMETER.

bad buy
i bought this thermometer because vick is a trusted name and thought that it would be very easy to use and more sanitary than oral,rectal, axillary and even than taking temp through the ear and had ask a pediatric nurse and they even showed me how to use it corectly but my daughter was feeling a little sickly and i checked her rever and the thermometer read 100.9 and my mothers intuition took over and said no she needs to go to the emergency room when we got there her temerature was *103.9* so the reading was very inacurate.

I absolutely love this thermometer for my infant, it is very easy to use. I especially like the last temperature memory recall & the color code screen - I find those features exteremly helpful!

We are using this thermometer for our elderly mothers who live with us. It makes caring for them so much easier. Glad we thought to try it.

?accuracy?
Very easy to use but ? accuracy. Took my own temp with it yesterday when not feeling well read 96.7F. In the manual it says forehead reading is equivalent to oral. i felt hot to touch so took temp with an oral thermometer just to check to see what i would get and got reading of 101.1F now i really question its accuracy. Took my own temp again and got same reading of 101.1F with oral thermometer and was curios if now woud get same on forehead thermometer and got reading of 98F. Tried calling customer service and told about this issue and they told me under their standards they would say the thermometer is working correctly so maybe it is intended to always show a normal reading I guess.
