i will see how customer service is, hopefully will get a good review. bought this unit 2 weeks ago and 2 days ago the light says the unit is on but the uv light does not turn on. i do not know if the bulb is already no good. i will follow up with results
bug zapper
my uvb45 zapper worked fine for three years and I have had to replace it with a new bk300. I hope it works well and does not suffer from rain.

My zapper lasted two weeks before it quit zapping it is in the trash now and I will never send Another $50 for your product ever Again!
Horrible
What a waste of money. It worked for 6 weeks then the lower clear glass band that holds something blew apart. So I had to get a new one and dont think I wasnt about to buy any Stinger products.
Find something better to buy, its a waste of money!!

update review
I got my replacement today.. they upgraded the band that holds the electrods together.. so that shouldn't burn out.. i just hope they inproved the electrical. i'll just have to wait and see.
good zapper, but many problems
This is a great bug zapper whenever it decides to work. Last summer i went through 3 units within the 1st month, after that i gave up and went and got my money back.. And this year i decided i would try it again, and my first unit burned out within the first 8 days.. and im planning on replacing it tonight for another one. It's a really good design and works great whenever it works, but the zapper componet is cheap and burns out quickly. But walmart offers a 2 year free replacement for an extra $5.. if it ever dies, they replace it no questions asked.. So i'm gonna keep exchanging it until i find one that works.... or stinger eventually fixes the issues in the newer ones. It sucks for the extra hassle because it works very well, but usually doesn't last very long.. and i see i'm not the only one having problems.

I have purchased several of your "Stinger" units in the past 3 years. They work really well killing insects. I would give them a 5* there but I don`t think they last like they should (1-1/2 *) dropping stars to 3 overall. I have a UVB45 I purchased in 2011 that actually went out last summer before I bought another UVB45 which came with a UV15BL? But now all 3 have gone out. I have replaced bulbs, checked electric connections and lines and dawn/dusk switch. Grids are bulbs do not seem to have power to them. I still like them because I have purchased a BK300 which I am registering now.

Wait and See
Here in Washington DC the insects are just starting to come out. Used unit for first time Weds night. It was fully charged and did a great job clearing insects from front of house. Used for about 3 hours then needed recharge. New out of box it charged up quickly but left it plugged in for about 4 hours and light is still red. Tonight will see if it is charged enough to Zap or maybe it has burned itself out already which would be too bad because it was really good for those 3 hours. So I will wait and see how or if it works tonight. Got the unit to review and test out.
Great so far
Product has been in place for a few nights. Appears to work great. I am able to use the deck and not have the moths and other insects swarming the other lights.

Kills bugs but out of the box the light flickers. It will not run constant.
It Broke
The model worked great until hit by a bad storm and the inner fillament burned out.

I enjoy Stinger bug zappers they work very well as we have alot of bugs here in Oklahoma. Very reliable & tough except sometimes large bugs get stuck in & really stink alot. But would buy stinger products again as they work great.
Works Great
Works great! Love to hear the sound of the bugs being taken care of! Love the dusk till dawn feature! Better than a previous model that I owned. Bugs fall out of this one a lot better, which means less cleaning required. Able to sit outside and enjoy the outdoors, rather than be miserable outside being eaten alive by bugs. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys the outdoors!

Worked for 7 nights. Worked great before it failed. Sending it back for replacement.
Bad Bug Zapper
I had the bug unit for 2 weeks and it stoped zapping bugs and I cleaned out unit evey week of bugs. When my husband check the unit, the elements was not working.

Bug Zapper
We've only had this bug zapper for a few days and we are mosquito free. Keep in mind we have a brook and fish pond along with other standing water on our property. I would highly recommend this bug zapper to others to be able to enjoy the great outdoors.. Thank you Stinger for this wonderful product.
Does Not Work
This is the second unit , I returned the original one for it beeing nothing more than a black light. The power grid never worked . Hopefully this one works correctly.
Mixed
This is my second purchase of the Stinger. The first stopped working after one year. The issue was with the electronics and not the bulb or other.
I certainly hope this new one works better.
So far, so good!!
We have just been using the BK300 -rated for 1-1/2 acre -for a couple of weeks. We have livestock and live on a river and have a lot of bushes nearby. The threat of West Nile Virus is real here. We tried other methods and other zappers but so far this is the best and seems to work for mosquitos and other bugs.
Stinger Outdoor Insect Killer4
Very poor quality. The bulb works great, but the grid lasted less than a week. Now all I'm doing is attracting the bugs I was trying to get rid of. This is the only model Lowe's stocks, so I'm going back for a replacement, but if the next one doesn't last more than 2 weeks, I'm getting my money back. I'm VERY disappointed.

Worked great until the grid went dead. We'll see if the warranty adds any stars...

Had mine for about a month and a half before the zapper hi voltage grid stopped working, the bulb still lit up but that
was it, returned it back to Home Depot and exchanged it for another one. Always willing to try it a second time, lets hope
this one last the duration of the 3 yr warranty without a duplicate failure.
Kaz Has Poor QC
I gave one star because I can't give zero. Purchased a BK300 from Wal-Mart after the BK500 I purchased 7/4/12 quit after 2 weeks. The BK300 lasted only ONE NIGHT! Black light works great! The killing grid FRIED after about 5 hours. Now its a bug attracter that pulls in all the bugs from the neighborhood into my backyard and they party all night. Unit going back to Wal-Mart on Monday for a refund. I'm done with Stinger products. Too bad Kaz doesn't QC their products more thoroughly, and they apparently don't read their reviews on their own website.
shipment issues
ordered this product from Kaz on 6-28-12, here it is 7-20-12 and I still haven't received my products. The web site failed to indicate that my shipment couldn't be shipped to a PO Box address, therefore I had to refuse the shipment because Kaz did not want to pay $10 a box to change the address with UPS, then I placed a second order and it is on back order. My first attempt to order the product was also a back order. So this has been a very frustrating matter and my family is still getting carried away by mosquitos.

Stopped zapping after a few weeks
I bought the Stinger BK300 at Home Depot. Plugged it in and it immediately Zapped the little critters like crazy. But after a few weeks, no more Zap? Light worked, just no Zap.

We absolutely loved the product for the first few weeks that we had it! It was killing all of the insects that tried to get near our home. Then, all of a sudden, we started to notice that bugs were not being phazed by the zapper any longer. So, on 6/30/12, we decided to try to change the bulb (even though it was still a nice blue color) and we also changed the lure. Neither thing worked. That night, we still had bugs everywhere!!! I would like to get some help getting this item working again because it was great when it worked and it was too expensive to only work for a couple of weeks! Please help us!
I got zapped
I purchased the BK300 and it only worked for 1 full night. It stopped working during the second night. The next day the grid was clogged in three places and I cleaned it for the second time. The blacklight works, but there is no current in the grid. I bought it at Wal Mart and I'm going to get my money back and purchase a differnt brand.
skeptical
I originally purchased a Stinger Ultra that didn't work out of the box. I exchanged the Ultra for a Stinger BK300 that worked great for about 1 week and now that quit functioning. A complete review will depend on customer service now. Tried calling, but closed on Saturday.
Good with possible problems
The Stinger BK300 is new and different with a "dusk to dawn" switch that keeps the unit off during daylight hours and can't be seen any way.
There appears to be a problem with the "plastic" rings that hold the electric grid apart and some have melted off between some grids. Also the red wire that feeds the grid appears to be burning off when bugs get on it.

I live in East Texas, and i have had 5 0r 6 Stinger mosquito zappers, they are wonderful, and I have
not had a mosquito bite in all the time I keep it plugged in....It is good in a chicken and rabit pen for
the animals....I highly recommend the Stinger......
stopped zapping
5/26/12 I purchased the biggest Stinger zapper I could find in Walmart, which was the BK300 model. It worked find for a couple of weeks and then just quit zapping those bugs. Is it fixable? I see others had the same problem. When I first got it, it was working great.
stinger insect zappers
Purchased 1 arce stinger and worked great for about 2 weeks. Then stopped zapping. Returned unit ans bought the 1 1/12 acre unit. light not working right from out of the box.. Going to return for full refund. Not Happy!

Only two weeks old and stopped working. No longer shocks the bugs. The element seams to be burned out. When it work it killed piles of bugs. The birds were lined up in the morning for a free meal.
Bug Zapper
I could tell a difference after the first night that it was working. I really like the fact that it turns off when the sun comes up.
