Vicks Electric Steam Inhaler Product Reviews
Model Number: V1200-6 Category: Humidifiers Dimensions: 17.38 x 0 x 9.38 in Color: White Warranty: 1 Year limited Price: $49.99 Vicks Steam InhalerI give this product 4 stars for now, since I've only had the opportunity to use it once thus far. It produces plenty of steam, and per doctor's orders, I am to place my face 2 inches from the mask to use. Any closer than that and I find it to be too hot. My only complaint is that the mask was received in a deformed condition, more than likely a result of a packaging error. This isn't a show stopper since the mask softens and will conform to your face once it's been heated, but I found that it returned back to it's original deformity once it cooled. Steam Inhaler (personal)I am in love with this product. It is effective and I love the fact that it is so light and portable. Unfortunately, the store where I purchased it at sold it to me damaged and is refusing to give me a refund or return the product. V1200SO FAR IT'S WORKING TO ADDRESS MY PROBLEM....STEAM IS MUCH BETTER. BUT I'M AT ABOUT 75% BETTER THAN I WAS B-4. RALPH v1200-6the unit works very well. but the last one i purchased broke in only severeal months of use. so i am registering this last one i bought. Electric Steam InhalerI think this is a great product. I used the product and feel better. The only challange that I find with this product is you need to purchase replacement pads. It would be nice if you could just add oils to it.
Vicks Electric Steam InhalerI suffered with a cold for several weeks and finally consulted an ENT doctor. He recommended the Vicks Steam Inhaler. After 2 sessions all symptons disappeared. Vapor Therapy Electric Steam InhalerProduct is nice and compact. Produces a lot of steam and for a long time. Vicks Electric Steam Inhalersteam inhaler worked just fine. My wife used it for the first time and it quickly decongested her nasal passages.
woods52@allmail.netI want to report that my Steam Inhaler nonstick finish in the water well has now bubbled and blistered. It is not broken or flaked as yet, but it is just a matter of time. I have used only flitered water and no vinegar. I have only wiped it clean. My first inhaler, also purchased in Jan. of this year, nonsitck finish blistered and cracked in just 2 weeks of use. This product would be far superior without the nonstick finish. It is not necessary. My first one was replaced by the online seller. I love everything else about the product but not the nonstick finish. It is probably not good to breath the fumes either. There is lots of concern over nonstick. Linda Woods
Spare PartsThe V1200 has provided good relief from sinus related migraine headaches (actually eye aches). Unhappily, the rotating support for the face mask has tiny plastic tabs, all but one of which have snapped off. Your website does not offer spare parts. Can I purchase a replacement mask support? Vicks Steam MachineThe device worked well on first use, but had an already distorted plastic face mask straight out of the box. I was a bit disappointed about that, but once it started to create steam, it worked quite well.Great help with sinusesHere is a simple, noninvasive way to help recovery from bad sinus infections. 10 minutes a day helps you to get through no matter what other treatment is used.Great ProductWorks great, small enough to take when traveling.Great Relief at Work!I recently returned to work after being out of the office with bronchitis, walking pneumonia and then finally a hospital stay for pneumonia. The week I returned has been bitterly cold winter weather - the worst kind when you really need warm, moist air to feel comfortable. I bought the Vicks Personal Steam Inhaler for my cubicle and I am thrilled with it. I steam for 5-10 mins when I first come in for the day and steam again around lunchtime or whenever else I need it. I am using distilled water in it, which will hopefully eliminate having to treat it with vinegar. Thanks for a great product! Vicks Steam InhalerLove It!!!!LIKE VERY MUCHI LIKE THE SIZE AND SHAPE OF MACHINE and easy to use.Nice so far!Very happy...Steam Inhaler 1200Machine has been helping me with my frequently dry throat.Steam Inhaler 1200This machine has been helping me with my often dry throat. So far, so goodI've used the Electric Steam Inhaler V1200 approximately 3 times since I received it on 2/7/2011 and although it's small and compact it seems to do a good job.MRS. JExcellent product!! It's amazing! Immediate relief! I had a sinus infection and helped with the drainage, felt much less congested immediately! This product was recommended by a coworker who suffers from chronic sinusitis (despite she went through 5 surgeries)..her recommendation was...simply buy tis product, do the daily saline rinsing, and you'll be fine!don't go through the painful sinus surgery! highly satisfied, like that the steam release can be adjusted, good product! a must buy! :)san bernardino ca,92404It's a great product, wanted to know on how can I obtain a booklet about the product and how to take care of it, lost bookelet, durring a move and want to know the care of product after the use. Thank you very much appreciate, if you would response to this message.Inhaler V1200More steam would be better, but I like the small format for travel. So I"m eager to see how it survives long airline luggage trips.goodworks very well open me right up?ITo file the What do you think I have no idea what the review title means or number of stars as there are no defintions or comments about waht is wanted. I am not being paid by the company to make any comments, but as a retired RN with many nasel surgeries that have left me with dry nares, I find the recommendation by my ENT very useful advice. I have had about 3 vicks personal selectric inhaler V 1200, but registering shows only v 1200-6 model and this is the number you need to register. The staff have been very professional in answering my many quesitons in where to find before I purcahsed. POSITIVES 1. the hood is taller than my orig unit 2. the base steam adjustment is a PLUS 3. easy to clean 4. Instructions are totally easy to follow i.e. don't put anything in the heater area, just water 5. I have placed the hood and steam controller in top rack of dish washer, along the edges. Yes, the plastic hood comes out opaque, but changes to clear in time. The company may not recommend. NEGATIVE 1. steam controller needs clearer markings to know where to align it with the base. In past, I had placed it in wrong spot and borke the flat tips that lock it in place. 2. wish the warranty was at least 2 yrs asthe one yeas is not long enough. 3. After I tossed my old unit, I think in heavy stampings along the side , disposal should be printed not to send to land fill but proper disposal. I think the company should have a mail back program with prepaid envelope, so it can be properly disposed of and not contaminate the land fills. I love these units. I set the timer for 5 min to warm up, then about 10-20 min to steam, adjusting the control to prevent getting skin too hot. I also have used the inhaler pads and they are great but hard to find and order. I think this is very useful devise for someone like me that experiences extreeme nasel dryness after many nasel surgeries. Recommend highly.Personal inhale steamerI have had one of these for many years and this year decided to get my children each one. They are great and easy to use. works wellWorks precisely as my doctor reported. Does wonders for my nasal passages. Great productThis is so much better than the non-electric version that I have used for years - it was either too hot or too cool to do much use. I didn't know there was an electronic version available since my local pharmacy does not carry it. It was a search in sheer desperation that took me to other stores in search of an electric one. One day and I'm hooked. It would be nicer if the aromatic inhalant pads weren't so expensive. I had picked up a bottle of inhalant (didn't open the inhaler box first) that said it worked in ALL electronic vaporizers. I guess there is a difference between a vaporizer and an inhaler? In any case, I'm thrilled with this product. |
