The HWM-950 (Honeywell Warm Moisture) has turned out to be a very good purchase. You never know until you actually use a product, but this humidifier is great. I've only had it three weeks, I have it running for around 8-10 hours daily (after returning from work and until bedtime), so it remains to be seen how durable it will be with that amount of use, It is similar in size and function to my older Duracraft humidifier - both of which I've purchased from Kaz.com at a great price! I have had my Duracraft for at least seven years and it still works as well as when it was new. I do take good care of it, clean it occasionally (we live in a very dry climate and have no problem with mold), scrape the mineral deposits etc twice or so every winter, and only once or twice have let it run out of water and the humidifier automatically DID shut off, as the HWM-950 is advertised to do. I'm expecting this HWM-950 to be just as good!
It puts out a good amount of steam, and along with my older humidier, both in our general living area, the two make a noticeable difference for our dry skin and eyes and noses!! It gurgles periodically, sounds a bit like water boiling gently on the stove, but the sounds are barely noticeable. Cosmetically, the black/clear color and modern design look less "hospital-like", if that matters to you.
It seems to be a good machine. 5 stars!

the replacement tank was supposed to fit relion rwm 975n. it is not even close.

Great product. The only problem I'm having is finding the owner's manual online. I don't know how to clean the white stuff from inside and I lost my owner's manual. HELP!
Does a Good Job!

Works as expected for the price.
Bought this humidifier for use in our bedroom. With the dry Winter heat, a humidifier is a necessity. This Honeywell humidifier is compact, easy to refill, and relatively quiet for a warm mist humidifier. There are 2 humidity settings to choose, as well. My only complaint: The tank is completely empty after 7 hours if the "high" setting is chosen, which seems a little fast to me.
Poor product and customer service
I purchased a honeywell humidifier which broke after 3 days due to a design flaw in the water tank. I contacted honeywell customer service several times and got no response. Would not recommend buying honeywell.
No fileters to buy or mess with!
Works great! Only problem is our water is well water and has lots of salt and mineals in the water. Cleaning is simple I only have to use the spray setting on the kitchen sink to dislove the build up every three days. I run two of these and it keeps the humidity at 35-40
HWM-950 filter free warm moisture humidifier
The product is still new to us but we like it ! Love the filter free and warm mist. But what I really like the most is the auto shut off when water chamber is empty. The light is green when running and turns to orange when out of water and in rest mode.

Little Steamer That Could
This steamer/vaporizer is ideal for bedroom(s) because it operates relatively quietly and is easy to re-fill and re-insert reservoir without dribbling water on dresser/table tops, etc. Lighted switch backplate is an ideal night light, although it might take some getting used to at first. Minimal sound of steaming also disconcerting at first, but then becomes gentle "white" noise in background. KAZ sells little tank inserts for anti-microbial action, but should augment that marketing with an anti-mineralization insert...something to help keep minerals from depositing on heater dome which diminishes efficiency.

I asked the Lowe's personnel before leaving the store and they told me that you have to clean it if you use it everyday. I don't plan on using it every day but cleaning it once in a while seems reasonable. Kids are sick and our previous vaporizor bit the dust. I wish they made these in the USA and had an automatic shut off with a an option for cool mist. I know it's a lot to ask for some quality but for some reason these things are just not manufactured with much thought to quality engineering. Thanks for reading my thoughts.

I and my husband both have to use oxygen while we sleep and when we wake up our throat and mouth are very dry which is very uncomfortable for both of us.
We bought this product hoping it would help and now we feel great, no dryness, we feel much better and as a bonus we don't have to dust in our bedroom as often,

Exactly what we were looking for. You do need to clean it regularly but that is a lot easier than dealing with the white dust from ultrasonic humidifiers.

My 85 young mother uses a humidifier nightly to help her breathe & not get nose bleeds. This unit is great!! It produces warm mist & has a containter for extra vapor if ever needed. Great idea for congestion problems..
Can't open the cap
I ordered the HWM 950 on 3/3/12 and received it on 3/06/12. I was excited to get it in a timely fashion because I suffer from chronic nasal dryness. When I got home, I opened the box and read all the instructions on the proper usage. I'm now excited and ready to get a much needed good nights sleep. Guess what? I couldn't get the freaking cap off to put water in it. I was so devasted at 3 in the morning I thought I was going to loose my mine. I actually had tears in my eyes at age 40. I have never brought a product that I couldn't open. Maybe not put it together, but never not open. I'm going to return it, and try another one becasue I trust that this is an isolated incident. Besides, this is the one I want at the great price I paid for it.

Honeywell Warm Mist Humidifier
I have had several other cool mist humidifiers, but this warm air mist humidifier is by far better. I like the quitness of it, very little if no sound. No filters to mess with. It puts out alot more moisture than a cool mist humidifier. Have been using it for a little over 2 weeks now and so far I am very pleased with it. If you do the daily maintance which takes about 5 to 10 minutes a day, you will stay ahead of the mineral build up. It cleans up very easily with just warm water and a scotchbrite cleaning pad. Weekly I do use vinigar to clean per instructions. This is normal for any humidifier. We have well water with alot of minerals in it, but so far has not been a problem. I have had more expensive humidifiers that did not work as well as this one. Good product for the money.

Been looking for something like this for some time that does not use a filter.
With our water supply, filters had to be changed often and soon cost more than the machine.
I had it up and running within 15 minutes and it works great.

Love this humidifier.
I already have another model of this humidifier (under the name ReliOn) and love it, so I knew I'd love this one, too. This is a great humidifier for small to medium-sized rooms, and with the cold, dry Winter we're having this year, both of my humidifiers are getting a real workout. The best thing about this is the very wide mouth on the water tank, which makes it easy to rinse and dry completely and quickly. Care and maintenance is also easy. On the low setting, this unit is very quiet, and a full tank of water will last more than all night long. I wanted a warm-mist humidifier, as I didn't want small rooms being cold and damp; the warm steam is also good for inhaling with colds and congestion. This fits the bill all the way around.
Good one room humidifier
On low it will last through the night. On high it won't and it seems to put out a little too much moisture in one little area as I see the evidence/water "stains" on the table around the in the morning. It's very easy to take apart and clean! Much easier then the Vicks model which you seemed to have to unscrew. I do wish they had a cleaning solution to help with the calcium deposits as vinegar doesn't seem to quite do the job. Overall I am very satsified with the product for humidifing, cleaning etc.
very happy with product
I ordered the HWM-950. Its perfect for one room (our bedroom), to get the moisture we need while sleeping. It makes the room feel warmer, and the warm moisture is great to breathe in when you have a cold, it even has a cup for a liquid inhalant. I have had no problems with it shutting off when it runs out of water. It runs all night on the low setting just fine. The best part is not having to spend money on filters, it doesnt use one! ITs very quiet. It does everything it says it does. We are very happy with it.

I bought this machine to replace a much more expensive humidifier that had broken. So far, this is by far the superior machine. It pumps out warm steam like a champ, and it's remarkably easy to refill (there's even an handle to make lifting the water chamber easier). My only (minor) complaint is that it can be a tiny bit noisy if it's on the highest setting. Otherwise, this thing is perfect!

The Honeywell warm mist is more compact, easier to operate, place, and maintain than similar volume Vicks products. Also, its "tighter" assembly is not susceptible to leaking like its competitors.

the product is poor. I had to always be placing the maching in order for the dryness in my nose to become clear. I do have the unit on the floor, but still the vapor don't give off enough comfort. I would not recommend this product.

I purchased this item b/c it does not need a filter, which is great. Also, its streamline design was very appealing -- it really doesn't take up much room. But, there is a terrible flaw in this product -- it leaks water, lots of water. If you turn the unit off while there is still water in the chamber, it slowly leaks out, all over the place. The first night I used it, I filled up the water chamber, turned in on for about 7 hours, then turned if off when I woke up. I came home from work and it had leaked all the water out onto my wood dresser (eek!) and into my clothing drawers. So the chamber must be completely empty before you can turn it off -- this is inconvenient.

Humidifier is easy to use and relatively easy to clean. I noticed that (at least on mine) you cannot leave the tank full and not running, because it tends to leak. If you fill it and start it, it's fine. Cleaning regularly is very important. Nothing in the literature says anything about using distilled water but I think I am going to get some- seems as if that would help alot.
Good value, difficult to keep clean
I purchased this model to replace my Honeywell Quicksteam Humidifier I purchased two years ago (I was sad to see the model being phased out) and thought this small humidifier looks great and touts easy maintenance. I do prefer the heated vapor models as they can be used to vaporize camphor/eucalyptus solution to soothe colds and coughs with the warm moisture.
I am quite wary of "filter free" models as they often sacrifice ease of use in the name of cost savings and sadly this new model suffers from this fate. The heating element is a rough textured metal knob (the Quicksteam models had a flat stainless steel plate that was maintained with mineral absorbtion pads). The metal "knob" heating element requires about a cup of distilled vinegar to delime/descale and needs to be done daily with this model to eliminate mineral build-up from using tap water.
One definate plus is the size of this model's resevoir and the sleek appearance as well as it has a lower energy usage than the Quicksteam model. However, the requirement of daily deep cleaning is about an investment of 10 minutes per day with vinegar and a toothbrush to prevent minerals and bacteria--that rather invalidates the claim of "up to three days' continuous use on one filling" on the packaging. The exterior design is sleek to the detriment of the interior mechanisms and channels which the steam passes through--some of these parts are dishwasher safe but collect scale from the escaping steam and are hard to clean thoroughally.
The price on this unit is quite right and it's hard to find a good humidifier (even an adequate one is a challenge to purchase below $50 for what is usually one season of reliable use) so I still reccomend it--the lower energy usage is certainly a good reason to consider this unit and might be worth the cost of distilled water to reduce scale build-up. I am still a fan of the older "Quicksteam" model as it used the mineral absorbtion pads to help with cleaning and had fewer, simpler parts to maintain but once the designers make some basic improvements on this model I am sure it will be a better choice and look better than the Quicksteam on my nightstand.

After researching Humidifiers for the office and becoming overwhelmed with the noise of some, leaking, hard to clean, etc. I found this unit... They are completely silent , easy to clean and No leaking.. Love them and plan on purchasing them for my home also..

Although it's nice this humidifier is small so you can place it almost anywhere, it's jug is also small, and we have re-fill it at least twice a day. The nightlight gets a bit annoying at night if you keep it in the bedroom. Otherwise we love it.

Only two days into it great difference in the air. We like it. The only thing that it is not as it says on the box is that in the low setting the water is out in about 16 hours not 24 as its says. However, for us 16 is enough.

I sleep so well now. I used to wake up with sore throats, itchy and dry nose, and sneezing. Now I sleep through the night and wake up so comfortably. I wish I got one sooner. It's easy to clean and fill.
