Complaint and warranty claim
Less than 2 years after the purchase the nebulizer is not working, I can hear the motor working but the steam is not coming out. I would like to receive a refund.
Customer Service
My daughter gave me this humidifier for Christmas, and it broke in March. I simply called your customer service, and, once I returned the broken one to you, I received a new one at no charge with no problem. The humidifier works very well in my bedroom.

My HUT-200 worked well initally, well enough that I purchased a second one, however the first one died after two months I've also been unable to find the replacement filters at any brick and mortar stores in my area.

I have only used this humidifier 5 times and now the mist doesn't come out, following the troubleshooting guide, doing all that was required it says to contact Kaz for further instructions.

When it Works!?
DearSir/Madam, The product began service o.k.. However, after cleaning & reassemble, the pump has been regular struggle. I have given up more than once of trying to position the damn thing. Six months later as I arrange to store it away or decide to junk it, the water stops flowing after 1 or 2 hours of operation during nighttime. Is there a good and secure way to posittion the pump or whatever is keeping the humidifier from operating properly? Sincerely, Sarge(retired)
great until it leaks
This product worked great. But after about 4 months of service, it developed a serious leak. Fortunately I discovered the puddle before the hardwood floor was ruined. DO NOT BUY THIS UNIT.

I love this humidifier. No filter, so quiet and it really does the job. When my other humidifier quits on me I will buy another like this. I live in colorado and run humidifiers 24/7 year round. Just walk by with water and fill in a moment and move on with NO MESS.
Bad Product
I would not purchase this product again. I have only had it for approxmately 3 weeks and it stop producing the cool mist. The pump was still working moving water but no mist. I followed all cleaning procedures and even replace the demineralization cartridge, it still did not work.

Worked great when it was working. It has since stopped having any midst come from it. Need to inquire about warranty replacement.

Gave this unit to my Mother in law for Christmas. Worked for 3 months. Replaced demineralizer, cleaned as per instructions, and still does not work.

Very impressed with how quiet this model is, can barely here it running. Good stream of mist, like that you can adjust the angle of the mist.
Works great
For what it is it works better than all of the other humidifiers in my home especially the permanate filter kind or the non filter kind. It is however tempermental and I had to return it within a month of purchasing it to get a replacement. Make sure you never run it out of water and wash or clean it out often, use a distilled water or water purifier in it. My infant son had RSV and this was the only product I found that worked so well.
Nice and Easy
I like the slim shape of the unit for use in my bedroom. It was very easy to set up. Although it says on the box no filters needed, after reading the booklet, I do see I need protec cleaning cartridge pc-1 or pc-2 and also a demineralization cartridge. I wish they would have been near the box on the shelf so I would have purchased them at the same time.

top fill ultraonic humidifier
I like the top filling humidifier. The fact that there is no filter is a positive . However, I do not like the fact that I have to replace the demineralization cartridge so often. This might not be so bad depending on the price of the cartridge. Since I haven't used it yet I can't say how effective it is.
Good, but . . .
This is our 2nd HUT-200 humidifier. I bought it because I sent my previous HUT-200 in to KAZ because it no longer was putting out mist, and I haven't heard a thing from you - this was almost a month ago!
Last week I purchased a Vicks humidifier, also made by KAZ. I could not breathe in the dry air at night any longer. Although the Vicks humidifier worked, it was the noisiest thing on the face of the earth! So last night I returned it and purchased another HUT-200 because I knew it runs quietly.
I should have not had to purchase another one though. I'm still hoping to get my original one back. If I don't, I wasted $14.79 on shipping costs. I can just put it in another room.
Third times a charm
This is my 3rd humidifier. The machine is easy to use and I really like the way the water is filled through the top. However, the 2nd machine lasted only 16 days. The first one lasted just over one month. I hope this third time is a charm and this one continues to work.
Worked for a few months
Worked fine for about a few months. I put it into the closet for summer, as it wasn't needed, and when I took it out for the winter, it was no longer working. It will not suck up any water and just gurgles loudly. Really disappointing!
So Far So Good
Ive only had the product for a little and already I am in love with it. I love the blue light, love the little stream it has didnt even know it had it. I actually bought a different humidifier and went back to the store the same day and bought this one. Thanks for another great product.

Great for New Parents!
We just got this humidfier for our new born daughter. It is easy to take care of and very easy to notice when you need to add more water. The visible mist is also reasuring that it is working! Great for the price and we are pleased with the fact it doesn't need replaceable filters!
Not working
I have had the unit for less than a month, and now the cool mist will not come out of the machine. I have done everything the book instructed for the problem and even purchased a new demineralization filter. Difficult to get a hold of Customer Service.

Has been running for a few hours. Easy to set up, quiet operation, can feel the difference already. Love the low blue light. Definitely recommend. This is the best one I have bought in years.

We received the Honeywell Hut 200 as a gift. The motor went out in aout a year. Kaz replaced the product in reasonable time. We did have to pay all shipping costs which was $24.00 (almost half of the cost of the humidifier.)
The humidifier has to be set on high setting to work well in a room aprox. 12x14. It is not very quiet but not loud either.

I tried a Vicks model, this Honeywell HUT-200-WMT is extremely simple to plug in and use.

Working well so far!
I've only had this humidifier for a couple of weeks, but so far it's doing really well. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because of having to replace the demineralization cartridge. The statement that it has no filters to replace is a little misleading, since you do indeed have to change cartridges every 20 uses.

So far with what little I have used it it seems just what I wanted. I have only had it for one day. Very quiet and easy to fill. Have had it on only 50 or half on the knobb and it seems fine so far.
Fast delivery, honest phone support
Being the typical man, I read the manual later. I was at about the 30th fill when I looked at the cleaning requirements. I needed to replace the filter! I paid for the 3 day shipping on Saturday and by Monday at 10am it was already out for delivery so I couldn't cancel. I found I could get them at the retailer I purchased the humidifier at and would have likely found them in the store. Lesson learned. I got an e-mail from Customer Care that I would soon receive the package. I had cleaned the unit and the new filter had been in the humidifier nearly 24 hours when that e-mail arrived. When you pay for fast delivery, you get it! Also, do check with your retailer. They can get the filters in a day or so. The unit is too small for my needs, but it has maintained the humidity in the comfort zone. The filters are cheaper than the wick filters I had in my previous humidifier. It is a quiet unit that after purchase I found there was an internal soft blue light that is very nice to have in a room.

This product was easy to set up. The manual was very easy to understand with pictures. The humidifier is very quiet and seems to be working very well so far. It keeps a large kitchen's humidity up during a very dry winter! Definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for a good humidifier!
already not working
I thought I loved this item but after a couple short months it is already not working. I have cleaned regulary per owners manual instructions and replaced demineralization cartridges. It makes a funny noise and will no longer pump water.

I like this product so far... It is quiet and seems to produce a good level of humidy even on the lower setting. My only complaint is that We would like a humidifier that does not have a light on it. It makes it difficult to sleep with.

Used for 3 months and stopped working
I purchased this humidifier last January. I used it for about 3 months and all of a sudden it stopped working. It would no longer produce mist. I chose this model because it has no filter and really loved it at first but was very disappointed that it did not last very long.
Too Humid
I feel like this product makes my room too humid. I'm not saying that the product does it's job well, I feel like the humidity settings are not effective. I can hardly tell the differance between the highest and lowest settings. I don't know if my unit is defective or if it's working as intended. I'm leaning towards the unit being defective because I am getting about 24 hours worth of use between refills (on the lowest setting). The unit is also louder than expected (however, if the unit is defective and is outputing close to the max humidity then it might run quiter at a normal setting).

So far so good. I like the simplicity of this model and it looks like cleaning it will be fairly easy. Good output of humidity and I like the soft blue light it emits. I've found it easy to set it up and fill.

so sorry to say, I loved this machine ,but it already has gone out. only had it a few days. Did the proper cleaning,etc, and it ran one day and night, then started "screaming". Also giving off heavy white "dust".It is now,unfortunately, in its box , by the door waiting for me to take it to the dumpster. I must have gotten a defective machine.

I only gave it four stars because my water pump in mine is not silent. Calling the company about it. But other wise works great and holds a gallon of water so I only really have to refill it everyother day.

About one year ago, I purchased a Honeywell humidifier for home use and used the humidifier for a total of three days (night time only), cleaned and put it away. Last month I took it out to use it again and had to take it apart to get the fan started to send mist out. It worked fine for the next four days. I then cleaned it again and put it away to get it out yesterday to use it again. This time, the fan would not start, and I could manually start it and it would continue to run until I shut it off. It would not continue to run and even when it was running, no mist would come out. Needless to say, I am disgusted. I needed a humidifier for a sick child so went out and bought another one. What kind of adjustment can you make? Please advise. Thank you.

Love the idea of this humidifier, it puts out a ton of mist, which is just what I need for my sensitive sinuses. However, out of the box and I'm already having issues with the motor. Not looking promising!

Good for one month
The first month,it worked very good. After that, no more mist came out.
Super easy to fill, but stopped working after a couple of weeks.
This is the top-fill design I've been looking for in an humidifier. No more lugging the water tank and flipping it over and making a mess all over the floor. This model stays in place, and you simply fill it from the top with a pitcher. You don't even have to unscrew the top off the humidifier - there's a loose "platform that covers the tank so stuff doesn't fall into it, but all you have to do is pour the water over the platform. The platform is big, so it's not hard to aim the water. The design also includes a window that allows you to see the water level.
I love the overall design for useability.
Unfortunately, the mechanical design is not as good. My unit stopped working after about two weeks of running it during nights only. It turns on, the nightlight still lights, and the pump still sounds like it's running. No mist, though. The water just circulates without creating a mist.

Barely lasted a year
Started using Dec 2010. Has been used for 7 out of the last 22 months and cleaned and stored according to the instructions and now the pump will work properly for 5 min, vibrate loudly for about 30 min and then stop working altogether. If I turn it off and on, the process starts all over again. Very disappointed. Expected this to last many years like my last humidifier.
Nice humidifier
I've always used room humidifiers in winter, and I like the convenience of the ultrasonic models. I had to replace my old one in December and I took a gamble on this model. It's very nice. It has worked well, keeping a 16 by 17 foot room comfortable. My only complaint is that apparently this model is not designed to stop running when the tank is dry. It's a waste of energy for it to keep running, and if you are not paying close attention to it, the sound of the pump still running would make you think that it was still humidifying the air. After I accidentally allowed it to run dry for several hours, the pump began making a nasty squealing noise. I called Kaz customer service, and they sent me a new pump free of charge. Installing the new pump fixed the problem, and since then I've been very careful to always keep the tank filled. The humidifier is easy to disassemble and clean, since many parts can go in the dishwasher. It really does its job, and I'm happy with the purchase and with the customer support I received.

I really like your product. It's very easy to fill the water. No need to take a part like another brand that I used to have. I just only fill the water at the machine.
Good product but loud pump
The humidifier functions well but the pump is not as quiet as it should be. It causes vibrations and has gotten much worse after cleaning it out.

Last year about this time I purchased Model HCM-350 for Master Bedroom. I give that product a 5-star rating. Returned to store this year to buy another one for guest bedroom. Not available. Oh well, here is a HUT-200, and on the box it says "Virtually Silent."
Well, it is NOT virtually silent, especially when compared to the Model HCM-350 I bought last year. So, I would have to say don't buy this one unless it is the only thing left and you are desparate to prevent guests from "winter dry skin" while at your house. It does do an effective job of humidification, I just think the noise level is definitely NOT "Virtually Silent."
Great Design, but noisy
The design is fantastic & easy to maintain. Refilling the unit with water is a snap. The unit was very noisy when first run, then it became so quiet we couldn't tell it was on. Took it apart to clean as recomended & it's very noisy again. Carefully went through all cleaning steps another 3 or so times to ensure we didn't create the problem, but no help. After calling the company, they recomend I return it to the store for a replacement.
The design is a 5 star rating, but the noise brings down the overall to a 3 star rating at best.

Loud as a car
This humidifier seems easy to use and gives off great mist, but it is a very loud machine that you simply could not sleep with. I can hardly be in the room with it when I am awake. This is not the low water whirr they warn you about. It has a loud, buzzing motor all of the time. Too bad.

I purchased this item for my mother's apartment. It has not been long enough for me to tell how well she is doing this the cleaning part. She claims it makes a great difference in decreasing the dryness of her force air heating. I need more time to tell if it is the right thing for her. So far it is the only one I found that she is able to use safely. She has a walker & is 85y/o. Adding water & cleaning are the problems. I am sure there are otheres in her situation. Thanks, Julie

Not happy
I have had this humidifier for 15 Days when it quit working. I believe that it is the filter that quit. because I soaked the filter in vinigar water ( as it said not to do ) than I tried it out after rinsing it . It steamed for about 5 Min. than quit again. I was going to but the Blank cartrage that the book says is available to use with distilled water, but I can not find it on this site even though I have the number printed in the book ( HUT-200 BLANK.) I cleaned the machine as instructed. I am calling customer relations tomorrow.

Very disapointed in this product!! The pump in mine also stopped working after only 1 week! I called the 1-800 number and did what they told me to do, that only lasted a few days! I spent extra money on this thinking it would be better for my young daughter's room, and now have to spend even more to get a different humidifier!!

Problematic
I purchased this humidfier (ultrasonic) for my 98 year old mother becasue of the size and the top loading feature. I was not aware of the demineralization changes. It is not working well. After only a month of use it either does not put out sufficent mist or stops altogether. I cleaned it thoroughly following the directions in the manual and it worked for about three days. Now it makes a lot of noise and does not work at all. To return it is an unnecessary expense and for someone on a limited budget out of the question. I own other honeywell humidifiers which work well but are unusable for my mother. It is too bad that the design of the machine is not maintenance free.
I am greatly disappointed.

This humidifier is great. It is very quiet and does a fabulous job of increasing the relative humidity in a single bedroom. Both of my daughters love it. The blue lighting works great as a nightlight as well.

I just got the humidifier few days ago. I like the concept that we only need to fill up the canester by poring the water from a picher. It is very quiet. I can fell already a difference in the air that I breath and I sleep better. It has a elengant shape and I can see the water level because of the soft blue light when its on. I am using distilied water, so I should have any problem with the machine. The tab water here in Las Vegas is terrible, I would dare put it in the humidifier I saw what it did with the old one and the junk that is left in my ditiller after I made one gallon of pure water.
I gave 4 stars because I think the machine should have an automatic shut off when there's no more water in it.

Easy to maintain
This humidifier is easy to fill and maintain. It's upright design makes is more appropriate for small spaces. Produces humidity quickly and efficiently.
Really Like the Honeywell Hut 200
Love the fact that it can be filled without taking it apart and the mist can be directed where you wish it to go, regardless of where it must be placed. Our bedroom is usually very dry, so we run it at a fairly high setting. This causes it to run a little noisier than the Honeywell we had for several years, but it also produces more moisture, so we can't really complain about that.

My daughter has allergies so this works great for at nights and its quite!

The dishwasher safe parts and filter free features attracted us to this product!

Works Great for a few months then NOTHING!
Bought the Honeywell HUT-200 humidifier in Feb 2011, It ran great for (2) two months, then it started making a humming noise and the pump would not pump the water. Called Kaz they had me send it back and sent a replacement right away. Didn't use it during the summer and fall months. Hooked it up just before Thanksgiving and now in January (just two months later) back to the humming and no water will pump. Hopefully they will just refund the money or replace one last time. If not I will make sure that all of my family and friends do not purchase anything from them
