Dead on Arrival!
Like at least two other of your customers, my HP 1000-9-3P heating pad was dead when I took it out of the box. The "H" setting light was flashing on and off and the unit wouldn't heat, nor would it switch to any other setting. I will be returning this to the store tomorrow.

Very nice product at a resonable price; Have not had the unit long so will report on long term satisfaction.

Flexibility is helpful for use on arthritic knees. Controller is easy to use and the cord is a nice length.
More Uses then just the back
I bought this heating pad about a year ago because mine finally gave up. I bought it for menstrual cramps and I love the design that allows you to wrap it around your middle. Its perfect for both back aches and menstrual cramps. I love it. The easy control is nice even at night when I can't see the control, the little nubs on it lets me know how high or low it is set on.

Didn't wear well
My husband purchased this in Feb of 2010 for help with his back. While the unit worked well, the quality of the product didn't meet our expectations. This unit is only six month old and I am having to return it because the elastic gussets on the side are pulling out and the elastic has runs in it. The product is going to be replaced but I still have to pack the complete unit including cord up and pay postage to return it. This was not a cheap heating pad, thirty dollars at Target.
Best heating pad I've ever had.
I have had this heating pad for over two years now. I am sitting at my desk at work and wearing it as I type. I have osteoarthritis of the spine that often leaves me in bed for a several days at a time. This heating pad has been my faithful companion through it all.
I like the fact that it is moist or dry heat and especially the fact that I can machine wash it. I have washed it many, many times now and it is still holding up well. It stays soft and pliable unlike the old style vinyl pads did. And I don't have to wrap a towel around it to keep it from burning me.
I really like the"split" cord design. After I put the pad on I don't have to take it off to get up for restroom breaks. I just tuck the "pigtail" over the top, pull my blouse down over it and no one knows that I have it on. When I get back, I can easily connect it up again without having to bend over to reach the outlet.
The only thing that would make it better for me would be a 12 volt plug for the cigarette lighter. When we have to travel any distance, I use a power inverter to plug it in.
I have more than gotten my money's worth from this pad and I highly recommend to anyone.

Softheat Ultra Back Heat Wrap
This is my second Softheat Ultra Back Heat Wrap. I am handicapped and in pain all day. I use this heating pad on my knee and back twice each day. It works great. I simply wore my old unit out from many uses. I reordered before that unit died completely because I didn't want to go a day without one. The velcro fastener really helps keep the unit in place. The heat control has several heating options. I usely set it on the highest setting to get it warmed up quickly and then drop it back to the middle setting.
I recommend this "Heat Wrap" to anyone with lower back pain or knee pain that needs some help on pain relief.

This SoftHeat Ultra Back Heat Wrap is a great device. We wore out the first one we bought so after many years of use we went back for a new one.

Only lasts for a few months
Excellent Heating Pad
This heating pad has several heat settings and heats quickly. The auto shut-off is a great safety feature. It is large enough to wrap around waist (or hips for a smaller individual). Can also wrap around a pillow. Excellent value for the price!

Ultra Back Heat Wrap
I bought one of these several years ago and it finally wore out. I originally purchased it at WalMart but couldn't find a new one locally and had to order it on line. The new one is not near as nice a product at the original one, the straps are cheaply made, stiff, and do not go together either direction. It's too bad the control changed, because I would have tried using the new power cord on the old one, but they do not fit. I am disappointed that this wrap had been made cheaper.
