I purchase two V3900 units, found that the manufacturer coupons (two to a box) where expired as of 06-30-2012. Units working great, I am happy with my purchase.
Vicks Cool Moisture Humidifier
Great product, my only gripe is it makes the room cold. I had to put extra blankets on my son so he could get to sleep comfortably while this was running.
UV Bulb Burnt Out
I think the V3900 Humidifier is great. It humidifies the room very well. There is a hum from the fan, but it is great whitenoise and helps us go to sleep. The only drawback is that the UV bubl burnt out the first time we started the humidifier.

The Humidifier looks and works well. It makes white noise sound, just enough to fall asleep. Can't say much more since I just bought it.
On another note... There where expired!!! coupons in the box, thats why I put 4 stars and not 5. If you advertise $10 of savings you have to make sure of that.
Long Lasting
Mine has run in my daughters room overnight and at naptime for approximately 2 years now. Still running strong. Only thing is the light behind the dial just burned out, no big deal though.
Make sure to replace the filters semi regularly or else they get moldy.
Feel Refreshed
Hi I have been using this for last three months and its really good, we recently moved to Colorado SPrings and the place is dry, so we had lot of de-hydration issues for self and my kids, and one of my friend told about the Vicks Humidifier with UV and it did what it says, i use it during the night and morning is really fresh compared to prior using the product we had dry throat and bit of blood out of nose.
It LEAKS
I bought this product about a month ago, and it is leaking from the bottom, so everything under it is wet.. Soaking wet!!! So, now my nightstand has water damage, because all the water was leaking from somewhere at the bottom.. I'm not sure why........ I am very disappointed... I paid a lot to only have it last a month, and I can't figure out where the leak is, it has not been dropped, and has been sitting on an even surface (my night stand).
Vicks V3900 Humidifier
I bought this because I live in California and the air is very dry. I have sensitive skin and allergies, and so does my kids. I like that this have a UV light to destroy microbes and a filter to clean the air. The humidity is light and cool, which is great cause we do not need too much that it becomes like a sauna. It is quiet enough. You can hear the fan on high but not too bad. Functions well enough. Filter can be costly and is not easy to find in my area.
Broken humidifier
Had for a year and a half. It no longer lowers water in the reservoir. It's been stuck at the same water level for 2 weeks. Hoping warranty will cover a new one.

Vent Blows Down???!!!
Dumbest design flaw I have ever seen. The vent blows the humidified air DOWN to to the surface below the machine. What, do I want my carpet or hardwood humidified when its on the floor? Currently I have it on a table beside a couch, in a corner - all its doing is humidifying the cloth arm of the couch. Bad bad design - what were they thinking??? This thing gets returned tomorrow.

I have serious allergies. I use my humidifier regularly and it work wonderfully. My allergies have been minimum. And I no longer wake up in the middle of the night with a stuffy head and clogged nose. This is definitely a product that one should purchase for babies, toddlers, and adults, if one has allergies, stuffiness, or breathing difficulties, that are not medically induced. You will be pleased with your purchase.

Got this for my baby because she was a little stuffed up. I read mixed reviews about it on the Babies R Us website lots of people complained that it was too noisy. When I went to the store they didn't have very many options so I went with this one. Glad I did. Love it; Her stuffiness went away and it is not loud. On the nighttime setting it is not as loud as a normal house hold fan. Very satisfied with this product.

Tank is awkward to fill and breaks easily.
My mother bought this product and used it only for a few weeks until she dropped the water tank. Despite being only about a 1 1/2 foot drop onto thick carpet the clear hard plastic shattered. This part goes for over $21 when you replace it.
For an elderly person, this tank is heavy to fill with the handle underneath it when it is being filled. Very awkward and one break puts her investment over $100.

Bought this product today for our new born. Seems to do the job. Easy to follow instructions and assembly.
