Kaz WF2 Filter
The filter fit perfect and the purchase on the website was smooth. Shipping was average. My only complaint is the filter started to discolor after only a few days. My original filter lasted at least 45-60 days before even a hint of discolor was noticed. Not sure if the quality is different?
Maintain it right, it works
I've had a few problems with the WF2 filters in the past. One is that there was a lot of dust in the air in my previous residence, so the filter would be clogged with dust. The second is that I was lazy about changing the antimicrobial cleaning cartidges, so growing things would take their effect on the wick/filter. And the third is that I was remiss about cleaning or changing the filter. So, I now regularly change the cleaning cartidges, and am in a place that feeds the filter less dust. Performance is really good now. I'm also now committed to regularly cleaning the filter and humidifier, and that has helped. I wish their was an easier way to clean built-up dirt in the filter to extend it's life, but am hoping that if I start before it's caked with the stuff that that will make it easier. And if it doesn't, well, then it's done it's job and I'll change it. The proper overall maintenance makes a big difference either way.

The filters I've purchased from you are excellent. We have a problem with gthe water here in Arizona, it is very hard and contains lots of minerals. Even with filtering, which I do, many minerals remain. These are hard on the filters which makes the hard and brittle after a while, but I can live with it.

great way to humidify the air
The humidifiers that use this filter (we have a VICKS brand) do an excellent job. Its great for the winter when the central air dries out the air and it is great for the kids when they get a respiratory tract infection. One filter will last 1 to 2 years. Throw way when the water minerals start to turn it brown. Great engineering.

Adequate...
I was thrilled with the price I was able to get from this site, and there was really nothing wrong with my filter. However only a day or 2 after installing it had started to get a small amount of the hard, brown, crusty edge on the top that supposedly indicates the need for replacing. Not sure if it was because I had the previous one in too long. I haven't changed it yet, and the crusty stuff hasn't spread much further than that initial section.

I mailed a review a few minutes ago, but there is no indication that it went through.
I like the filters. They do a good job. I only wish they lasted longer. Even following the directions to the letter, I go through them pretty quickly.

This is an excellent product. I use it mostly during the colder months when the heat is on. I had a dry cough due to the electric heat and the cool mist humidifier helped clear it up
Good filters
Have been happy with these filters for my Vicks humidifier. They are good for about two months of active use, then they should be replaced. You just have to be careful inserting them as the tops are a bit sharp from the metal border.

I love this filter because it is infused with wire which makes it very durable, the one that came with the unit was not infused with wire so it did not hold up as well. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new filter for there Humidifiers.

Although I've enjoyed use of this product since I've had it for the last month, I haven't as yet had to replace the filter. The product has kept air moist and bareable.

The filter seems to be more sturdy that the original one, however, it is also a different shape (not quite as long when flattened) but it appears to be adequate to fit the machine .. glad to have found this site so they can be reordered when needed.
Filter kaz wf2 wicking filter
The filter I got with my vicks humidifier was flat and thinner. The new one is twice as thick or more. Not nearly as much air can pass through, so I have to run the humidifier as fast as it will go or we get just trickle of air. I have a v-3100.To sum it all up I now don;t care for the unit as I did before. Why is it I can;t get a kaz wf2 wicking filter like the one that came with the unit?

I purchased the Vicks Cool Mist Model V3100 about 6 years ago and it is still running strong. Recently, I couldn't find the replacement filters and came online to discover that the flat filter has been replaced by the round type. I'm glad I did a bit of investigating because I didn't want to throw out the product. I hope to use it until it stops all together!

I love the Viks cool air humidifier. I just ordered and began using these filters as replacement filters. While the machine does exactly what I'd like it to, the filters are used up pretty quickly. I've been using the first replacement one for only 3 weeks and it has wholes and is discolored. Good humifier...but it gets costly requiring replacement filters often!

The filter is fine in most respects. I just wish it would last longer than it does. The best I can do is keep it operating continuously for 4 weeks. Then it is very discolored with mold and must be discarded. Since the expense adds up I only use the humidifier, that it is for, 2 months in the winter. I'd like to use it longer.

When I first purchased the humidifier I had a cold and used it for 5 days straight. I would wash the humidifier and dry out the filter. Sometimes it wouldn't totally dry so I would use it. When I needed to replace the filter because of use I purchased two and will alternate them.

Great product at a nice price
I needed filters for the Vicks humidifier I bought for my children's room, and I ordered these online. They were exactly the same as the ones in the store and for $5 less than at CVS. I liked the club discount also which gave me free shipping. Why doesn't everyone shop this way? You get it delivered to you and there is no extra work. Just wish they lasted a bit longer.

WF2 Wicking Filter
The WF2 Wicking Filter is an excellent filter that works with the Kaz humidifier. It catches any bacteria or dust that goes through the water before it sprays out into the air. If dried daily after every use, it lasts a long time and you can be assured that only clean, fresh air is being misted into the air that you breathe. I empty the container daily, and pour out any water in the tray that the wicking filter sits in. Then I air it out during the day while I am not using it, and it is dry in the evening when I turn it on when I go to bed. I need the moisture for my eyes, as I have aged macular degeneration, thus my eyes are very dry. The moisture helps the disease from getting worse. I feel confident that the WF2 Wicking Filter is making sure only clean, bacteria free mist is surrounding my eyes as I sleep.

This wicking filter was the one suggested for my humidifier. It is actually a little bit different than the one that came with my humidifier when I bought it. This one has a metal part in between two sections of white filter, while my original one did not have any metal in it. This new filter doesn't work quite as well as the original one... I feel like the output of the humidifier isn't that great. But it works.

I have allergies mostly in winter and having a humidifier with a filter really helped a lot to breath easier and make things more comfortable at home. I also recommend using distilled water instead of tap.

This product doesn't last as long as I'd like it to. I put a filter in a couple of weeks ago and it's already hard and crusty. It could be my water but I would like to find a filtr that could tolerate my water and last longer. I live in a big city in the midwest, we have great drinking water and I don't have a build up of chemicals in other types of humidifiers I utilize.
