These filters are exactly what I needed. I have 2 different humidifiers in my home but use these filters. I really love my humidifiers and the filters are easy to use they just seem to be harder and harder to find at the store. Ordering them online and multiple was a great idea. It was fast easy and in the long run cheaper. When the time come to purchase more I won't even bother looking in the store.

Kaz humidifier filters
These are pretty good. They do tend to turn brown and get moldy in less than the few months season of use. I replace each season but they get pretty dirty quickly, it seems. Could be the machine?

KAZ WF813 wick for humidifier
The Kaz WF813 wick or filter is the only product that fits the humidifier used in my mother's apartment and we keep it in use from November thru April to add moisture to the otherwise dry air. We do have to change out filters regularly - about every six weeks as they calcify and become less effective. The calcification is visible and once it reaches about 50% of the vertical height of the wick it needs to be changed. A new filer will need water replacement every day - an older, 50% calcified filter can go two days proviing it's less effective at adding moisture to the room.
Filters are uniform and funtion as expected. The calcification is an issue with the water not the filter itself and it's cheaper to replace filters four or five times per season versus purchasing distilled water which would lenghten filter life but add considerable expense and inconvenience in carting two gallons of the stuff up to her apartment every week.
If there were a workaround for the calcification issue I'd like to know it. I think it's inherent with the water supply we use.

Essential need but can improve
Age of filter does make a big difference in the performance. However, while the filter's notes states it should be changed in about 2 months, decoloration occurs almost immediately (after a couple of days)

My recent order
Excellent service, all 3 items were exactly as ordered. However, I could not find an item I really need to make one of the tanks on my humidifiers ( ReliOn RMW) work because the O ring on the screw on cap has stretched and needs replacement. Do you have replacement rings for these caps that fit on the top of the tank. If so send me 3 such.

The only place I can find these
Your site is the only place I can find these filters at this price. In the store (when you can find them, which isn't very often) you can pay around $6.99 per filter. The six pack at the price you have is much cheaper and lasts us all year. I like it because this way I don't have to chase all over town looking for the filter.

The real product!
These are the real filter you need, not some knock off or some guy just cutting up filter material. I would strongly recommend these filters over anything I have seen on Ebay or Amazon. I have purchased from both of those and those filters are imitations or knock-offs. I would definitely recommend buying these items and getting from Kaz.

OK, trying to find a substitute for a filter that fits Holmes 460. Sold thru Sears, and purchased by me at Salvation Army Thrift Store. I do not want to buy anything from Sears and the filters are very expensive since they don't carry them in their store and charge shipping charges.

They are the same as other filters. Work great and stay wet at first. Over time, you'll need to flip them daily to stay wet. Eventually, it will be time to us another filter.
