This is the first time that I have ordered pre-filters for our air purifier. I had to order this one because the original ones are not sold anymore, I guess. I had to measure and cut it to fit, but it was easy and there is possibly enough left to use when this one is ready to be changed. Customer service at Kaz was very helpful via email!

Too Much Waste
I have a 50250-S purifier. When I got done cutting this filter to fit, I had over 1/3 of the material left over. It is not enough for another filter, so it just has to be thrown away. What a waste of money and material. Had I known this when I bought the purifier, I would have probably bought another brand.

Works as designed! It was a perfect replacement for my exisiting pre-filter. You have to cut to fit however.

A Plus?
It's definitely crucial to replace the pre-filter on your Honeywell unit a few times a year, but I don't feel that the A-plus filter offers enough additional benefits to warrant the higher price tag. The A-Plus is marketed on the basis that it offers enhanced odor-elliminating properties, over Honeywell's other available pre-filters. Honeywell does make excellent air purifiers, but the A-plus seems a bit gimmicky to me in that it didn't create a discernible difference in the overall air quality. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad product by any stretch. It just isn't worth paying more for the A-plus, especially when you have extreme air-quality issues and need to replace it frequently. My advice: go with one of the less-expensive alternatives, and buy in bulk, so you can avoid paying separate shipping charges when you need a replacement every 3-5 months.
Works Great!
This item works very well, it has made a noticable improvement in reducing odor. I love it, it fit my air purifier well. I will be buying many of these in the future, it is worth the price.

This pre filter is WONDERFUL. We are smokers and within 1 day you coul not smell the smoke in our home. Will buy again. Well worth the price
Works Just Fine
The pre-filter was folded to fit into its box, but once smoothed out it was easy to cut to size. I used a scissors but think I could just have torn it (carefully) along the perforations. The two strips were easy to apply and worked well to keep the pre-filter snug around my air purifier. So good to have this Honeywell air purifier up and running with the new re-filter - it does get rid of cigarette smoke that blows in under the door to my apartment and eliminates cooking smells too.
The only reason for giving only 4 stars is the wrinkles caused by folding - somewhat difficult to smooth out before cutting and a bit more care is required to wrap snugly around the HEPA filter.
Product works well - atthough it is a bit pricy & there is waste
Product does work very well. Product does fit well, but is a universal size so there is wasted material that you are paying for.
