I used to purchase filters for my humidifier from local stores. The filters offered in the stores would last about 2 months each filter at best. The filters I currently purchase from Kaz last the complete season which is about 6 months for each filter.

Generally the filter works OK with this humidifier. They don't seem to last very long, unfortunately. Perhaps a six weeks to a couple months before it needs replacing. Over time this adds up.

These filters can't be bought locally anymore even though the humidifiers cme from a 'big box' store. After finding out all the 'H'umidifiers were all made by Kaz, it wasveasynto find the proper replacement. Perfect fit, reasonable price!

Product arrived a few days after I ordered it on the internet. It was the correct item and I installed it on my humidifier upon receipt.

You shipped me Protec extended life Humidifier filters(2) instead of the correct ones.
I had to call, and you sent me the replacements(correct) filters. That was about eight to ten days after I received the wrong shipment which took about eight to ten days.
I was not in need of the filter since I still had one backup, and the one in the humidifier was still OK.

the filter is great! It holds up very well & performs for the time frame that it claims it will. Now if it would be offered online in multi-packs, that would be even better!

I sent for the filters for my Honeywell humidifier and received them in good shape and in a timely manner. Thank you for that! I only thing I still would like to know is about the operationof the madhine itself. I received and printed out the booklet that was emailed to me. I have read it and cannot find out how to put the Protec Cleaning Cartridge in the machine. Does it move around or stay put? Which way do I lay the end? This is what I need to know to be able to run the machine correctly if this makes a difference about the cartridge in it. Since it can go either way, I wanted to know. Thank you for your help.

This is at least the third time I've overed this filter (yearly). It arrives exactly as advertised. The price is good and service timely.
Not working properly
This unit does the humidifier thing very well but it does not shut off when the selected humidity is reached. It constantly show 20 degrees no matter what it is set at. Thye don't make this unit anymore so can't replace with another same model.
Needs Improvement
The filter that came with the humidifier worked for about 2 months w/o incident. The 2nd filter lasted 1 week. The 3rd filter lasted 3 weeks, and now I'm on the 4th -- which appears to probably only last 2-3 weeks. The humidifier is great. The filters need significant improvement.

My Honeywell humidifier works great. Just the write amount of moisture in the air. it makes it so much better for me to breathe, and my skin is not so dry anymore.

Bought a new humidifier and this is the filter for it. It works great and lasts longer than the previous model filters.

The filters work great for about a month. Then I have to purchase another one. They get so hard and crunchy that they don't absorb water anymore. I purchased my humidifier at Target, but they don't carry the filters anymore which is very frustrating since I have to order them and pay shipping costs.

Have always felt that these humidifier filters to be top notch. Lasted somewhat longer than anticipated and alwaysfunction better and longer when proper humdifier treatment and cleaanliness is observed.
Just wish the daned things weren't so costly. In a single year the filters cost more than the humidifier itself!

I bought this filter and within two weeks the filter was filthy and moldy. It was very disappointing. I spent $19 on something that had to be immediately replaced. Now I only use filtered water, and that costs a ton! The filter did not do what I needed it to do.

Winter months have struck early this year in the Bluegrass. We needed to replace our filter sooner than expected and could not find the replacement filter anywhere except the kaz.com site. The filters are great they are definately the ones I need to run my humidifier. I just have to say that I can''t believe how expensive they are for something that you throw away in a month or longer. But with the sale that I caught with Kaz they were the cheapest.

was a perfect replacement. When people order this type of product, you should automaticlly suggest the antimicrobial cleaning cartridge. I forgot to order and had to place a separate order wasting postage. I''m sure other products could also use suggestions of what may go with the item ordered. Money for you, savings for us.

I got the new filter for my Honewell humidifier. I have a 4 gallon humidifier and with the new filter, this thing is now cranking out 8 gallons of moisture a day. A new filter really helps, so watch your old one for discoloration and reduced output.

Hard to find this filter anywhere- fits the HCM 600 (even though on humidifier box it says I need a "D". That's a lie) Glad to have found it in this cold winter!

Honeywell Filter are expensive and can not be reused. Unable to wash without them falling apart. Otherwise work OK with a minimal lifespan.

The folters are easy to order on-line, and the turnaround is reasonable. There is not an email confirming the on-line order, however, but one appears when it it sent to shipping.

Thank God I found the right filter for this machine, only four tries later. We use the machine every night, as it is very dry in my house because of the forced hot air. The moisture in the air keeps us breathing well thoughout the night so that we can get a good night sleep.

I love this system! After decades of wheel-filter humidifiers which got moldy and stinky almost immediately, and sonic humidifiers that left a wet area around the base of the unit and white powder on everything, this filter poped in and lasted me a month and a half, and kept the interior of the humidifier very clean. People in hard water areas may have a different experience as far as water scale, but this humidifier worked well in aerating and dispersing water into the air.

The filter is fine, easy to install and use. Finding the correct filter on the Honeywell website, however, is a nightmare. In addition to being shunted off to KAZ, the model num ber of the humidifier ( HCM-6012i Quiet Care) is difficult to identify and locate. The variouys purchase options (single filter, multi-pack, etc) are also difficult to understand. It should be as easy as.... "what is your model number?...and...how many filters do you want? "

This is a great humidifier if you want to keep a larger (13 X 15 ) room at a higher humidity, as I do for my cigar and pipe collection. You do need to fill the water reservoirs at least daily, however, and the filter should be changed every other month.

Does What it Should!
We've used this kind of filter for two years now in our humidifier. It does what it should - it lasts a whole season without having to replace. We keep a lollipop and humidifier treatment in our water tanks to minimize/prevent mold and mildew and have not had a problem at all. Would definitely buy this product again.

the product itself is good. however i am not happy spending what it cost for each filter. i bought this humdifier at walmart and have been able to get the filters there too up until lately. i was able to get them for 12.00 a piece now they are double that.

Great filter, but pricey
I've had the Honeywell humidifier for 6 years now, and after trying a couple of lesser quality filters, I've decided to stick with this one, for quality reasons. As a former purchasing manager, I lean towards buying products that offer the best total value, even if I pay a little more up front. At our house, this filter lasts the whole winter season, and even appears to catch some of the stray dog hair that occasionally gets sucked into the unit. Unfortunately the price seems to increase yearly. Regardless, Kaz' price was the best I found, when taking into account the Savings Circle discount and free shipping.
