love it!
I bought it to cool down my kitchen while I am cooking. It is light weight and so easy to use. All the speeds are easy to understand their purpose. I give it to my daughter at night to cool down her room while she sleeps.

If you name a product QuietSet then it should actually be quiet I would think, and at this price point cerrtainly. This fan makes a vibration noise at each end of the oscillation cycle and as a bonus makes light noise as it is lit up like a christmas tree in the dark.

Fan just died after a year

Honeywell HY-108
I really like this fan, and that the company assited me when I had a problem with the fan shutting off on its own. The company gave me the necessary information based on the warranty, and stated that they will send me a new fan to replace the defective one.

Good Fan But
I really like this fan, good airflow. Like the features, except tempature display would be really really really useful to be able to turn off the display at night or have a sensor to detest and dim it. Need to cover that so it does not light up the room. Would also be nice if the speed display would be dimmer, but not as large an issue. One note, the oscillation is noisier when quiet and so we do not use it when sleeping.

Not Getting Cold
The fan looks nice and is quiet as advertised but does not blow cold air. It is a very hot summer here, and I've had the thermostat put at 60 degrees. It has yet to pass 78 degrees. When there were days that it rained and it got cold, it did go down to about 75 degrees, but never even remotely close to even hitting 69 degrees. If anything, the most it is doing is just circulating the warm air around the room. I am in an area of the house that the air conditioning system was not built to properly ventilate so it is very hot. Hopefully KAZ will work with me to either replace it or find a way to get the air to blow cold.

I am only filling out this review to complain about the Warranty Registration info above it. One of the required fields is the store but the pull down menu did not show the store I bought the fan at - London Drugs in Canada, so i had to choose a store. Honeywell QuietSet 8

Very Unhappy
I bought this fan because I needed something to keep me cool at night, I don't have central air and the unit I have in the apartment is in the living room and doesn't get to my room. I set the temperature on the fan and no cold air is blowing out.

Whole Room Tower Fan HY-108
Right out of the box, the contol faceplate had a large scratch on it and one of the 3 wingnut/screws to fasten the baseplate to the tower had cracks in the metal wingnut portion of the screw. The fan seems to be fairly quite on the sleep setting for being new, but is wobbly on carpeting. When oscillating there is some clicking noise as the tower reverses direction.

What happened?
I just purchased a Tower Fan last year. I got 3 amazing months of use out of it and went to pull it out today to find out its not working. It might be the fact that I'm cranky from this unbearable heat that came out of no where, but I'm upset as ever for spending the money I did for something I had high expectations for.

HY-108 from TARGET review...
Rated 1 as a product you should NOT buy...
The HY-108 that were purchased new from Target worked fine for several days, then started making a rubbing sound as the fan turned. The HY-108 internal thermometer does not measure room temp correctlyand is off up to six deg Farenheit. The thermometer cannot be recalibrated by the owner.
We have returned the fan back to Target and are investigating other OEMs because the HY-108 limited 1 year warranty/replacement is somewhat costly and is 40% of the new purchase price.
Shipping to KAZ is $10 and KAZ wants us to pay an additional $10 repair fee to send a repaired unit (not our original repaired unit) back to us.

Fan
I bought 2 fans last year, one for a gift and one for myself. Last year after 6 weeks I had to have one replaced becuz it just stopped working. This year the warranty is up on the 17 July and both fans have just stopped working. I did not know I was paying $50.00 for a product that is obviously defective in some way. I have 2 other no-name tower fans at my home and they keep chugging along year after year. What gives?

Quietest fan ever, however stopped oscillating after 2 months
I loved this fan until it stopped oscillating after 2 months. It is very quiet, you can't even hear it on the sleep mode and just barely on the whisper and calm modes. Love the lean size. Doesn't take up a lot of room.. I would have given it a higher rating if I didn't run into a problem.
I have contacted mfg about the non-oscillating issue and
waiting for a reply. Will update after I hear back from them.

A Great Fan
The compact thin design is space saving and very stylish. Many speeds to choose from and still very quite. The timer is nice to use especially at nights while sleeping keeping your room at the right temperature without getting overly chilled. Just a great fan.

Bad Keypad?
My wife purchase this fan last summer. It worked great throughout the fall. This spring it fails to power up. It's a 5 when it works (very cool, very quite)...it's a 0 when it's dead.

Was working fine last summer. Then wouldn't work at all this year. Not even moved from original spot. Lost original receipt so can't send back. Although as noted by another customer, it seems to cost a lot to have it fixed when it seems to be a flaw in construction.

Fan quit after 3 months

Purchased a HY-108 Quietset Whole Room Tower Fan and was delighted that it had all the ammenities that my husband and I look for. Eight speed settings, remote control, timer. We were particularly interested that the fan was 40 inches high since we are using the fan in our bedroom. Also we extremely interested that this fan is extremely safe and so easy to use. We have just set up new fan, but thus far very satisfied!
We did purchase a tower fan from one of your competetors, but returned today as that it was very noisey. The ten dollar difference in price was certainly worth it. I really like the temp display and many fan speeds.

I like the thermostat feature. It allows me to set the temperature and monitor how warm my living room is. Temperatures in this part of South Texas are always in the three digits daily. I'm hoping to see my energy bill go down, especially in the summer.

HY108 fan
I bought this fan to replace my 5-year of tower fan (different brand). I was comparing the White HY105 (5-speed) and Black HY108 (8-speed). The different is $10. Both are quiet and have remote control. The black one looks much better.
HY108 has additional features like additional fan speeds and automatic fan speed control based on preset temperature.
I got the black one and very satisfy with it.

Ok so I bought this and loved it. I would've given it 4 stars, but after having it for only 3 months, it never powered on again.

Five stars for Target not Honeywell
This is a follow up to "Just Stopped Working". Thankfully I read these reviews because it had not occurred to me that I should take the fan back to Target since I purchased it in May. I quickly found my receipt and saw that I had a week and a half before it would expire and I took the fan back to Target and got my money back. Did not even have to deal with the manufacturer. I have another one that I might take back before the receipt expire just in case.

Bad Buy
Had one last summer, worked well, put it away for the winter. Tried it in the spring - nothing, no power. Dead. So got a replacement from the local hardware, same model. Took it out of the box, turned it on. Worked once. Tried it again an hour later - nothing, no power. Dead. Obviously a very poor product.

Not happy with fan
I'm very disappointed with my new fan after a month of use it died on me and it broke off its base the clips that hold the base are cheap plastic and will be workin to get a replacement on this over priced rotating fan. I should have stuck to the old fashion box fan but felt like this fan would be better turns out it wasn't.
