Our Kaz humidifier is very old and reliable...but the filter was totally worn out. Fortunately I had saved the box for storing the unit when not in use. The web site is well organized and within a week or so I had received two new filters in the mail. This has saved me from having to buy a new humidifier.
Exactly What I Needed
When initially ordering the item, I was not sure if it would fit the device I had. The picture of the filter appears to be circular and the filter in my device looks boardline rectangular.
At any rate, after getting the item it was exactly what I needed and it perfectly fit my device.

The filter appears to be fine, but the machine leaks...I fill up the blue bubble, then flip and drop it in. Within an hour, there is water on the table. Any ideas? Does this happen when the machine gets old? Thanks.
Short Lived with Hard water
I wouldn't say these filters are exceptional. In fact, I have been using my steadily for only about a week and the top is already discolored, I think from hard water. I hate to buy distilled water to use in my machine because I use it continually during the week and that would be a lot of plastic jugs to throw away. However, Kaz seems to have the best price that I can find for these filters. It is worth your while to join the savings circle and get the cupon for 10% off and free shipping.

The filter efficiently performs it's essential job of wicking water for expulsion as a sort of vapor. It's decent, but overpriced. Item seems to discolor to an unnerving yellow/brown extremely swiftly (and require overpriced replacement)?

I recently purchased a new humidifier requiring this particular filter. I always like to have extra filters lying around, but the store I purchased the humidifier from did not carry what I needed so I came to the website. So far they seem to be working very well, although it's really too soon to tell (it's only been a few weeks since I've been using them).
My experience using the website, however, was very easy and quick. I liked the discount I got just for signing up for a newsletter, and I thought the price was reasonable anyway. I felt good about making multiple purchases. Registration and checkout were quick and simple.

The filter works well. The first time I ordered just one filter because I wasn't sure of the frequency that it would need to be replaced. But, this second time I ordered two. The filters get yellow pretty quickly although the manufacturer says that some discoloration is ok. What I like the most of this website is the free shipping, as the filters are not easy to find at a regular store.

I loved the new WF2 Kaz Wicking Filter because it has a supporting galvanized metalic frame to support the filter. The filter used to break up with the successive usage and not lasted long enough. Good working Kaz.

The filter seems to be filtering but it looks really gross and we have only been using it for about 2 weeks. We have had this humidifier for 2 years now and this is the fastest a filter has gone bad. .

Best price you can find --- filter-based humidifiers not for me
While I think this product functions fine if you use it on a daily basis and clean out your basin regularly, it has become inconvinent for me. I live in an area with hard water and I refuse to buy distilled water for my humidifier because the cost to me would be outrageous (up to $1.60/gal) and I hate using all that plastic. My filters don't seem to last for more than 30 days before they get gunky and I decide to throw them out. In the area I live in I would prefer to get an ultrasonic humidifier and a demineralization filter to help it work better with all the minerals we have in our water here.
All that said, you can see my review is a conditional one and this situation doesn't apply to everyone. A humidifier like this might work better for me if I used an air purifier in conjunction with it, to help keep the filter clean longer.
Kaz probably has the best selection you can find, I just already had a cheap humidifier that I bought locally and I'm not ready to invest in a $100 one yet.

I have been purchasing these filters for several years now, and in the past couple of years it has become apparent that the quality has suffered. These filters used to last me up to 3 months, never less than 2. Now they deteriorate within the first few weeks. An added insult is that the price has gone up as the quality has gone down. I'm beginning to wonder if it would just be more cost effective to purchase a new humidifier instead of constantly having to replace these now costly filters.

The WF2 Wicking Filters work fine in our new Vicks 3100 cool mist humidifier units. I purchased extra filters for the time when the existing ones need replacing. I have had no problems with the existing filters collapsing or dripping into the motor unit, and have not modified the filter for use in the Vicks 3100 unit..

Kaz Wicking Filter replacements work great. The only issue I had with them is that it seems to be a bit fatter than the original filter that came with the cool mist humidifier so I had to smush it in and it kind of sticks when you need to pull it out to empty the filter. But all-in-all I'm pleased with the filters.

These replacement filters seem to get dark from mineral deposits must faster than before.
The unit is only on while we are sleeping.
I switched to filtered water in a effort to improve the filter's performance, without any change.
I may decide to switch to a different humidifier.

Gets Old Fast
After one day these filters begin to look old, even if you use the cleaning ball. They only last two weeks in real world use.

These filters are a great manufactured product. I have hard water at my house and the other filters I used to use wouldn't last that long. These Kaz filters last a lot longer and handle the hard water better than the other brands. The price and the shipping you can't be either. I buy them because I need them. Humidifier filters should be changed either once a month or if you maintain them well enough, they can sometimes last 6-8 weeks if you rinse them in a bleach bath. This Kaz filter is the cheapest through the Kaz website and the humidifier is the easiest to clean.

Have used them for years
We've been using Kaz for our humidifier filters for years. We use a Vicks humidifier, and run it 365 days a year in my sons' room. These filters are inexpensive, but last a long time. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is the build-up (calcium?) that occurs over time, causing the need to replace the filter - but there are probably ways to lengthen the life of the filter even more, we're just lazy. :-) Great product. I see no reason to use anything else for the cost and effectiveness.

The wick filters I purchased appear to work as advertised. There has been no problem up to this time and they are used every nigjht.

The filter does the wicking job it is designed to do, efficiently dispersing water vapor into the air, and the vaporizer unit has the side benefit of producing just a bit of sleep-enabling white noise.
But after only a few days' use, the white filter already is taking on an orange-brown coloration, suggesting mold development, and the product appears overpriced when considered against the materials and labor used in its production.

I received the correct product and it is working perfectly. It did seem to take a rather long time to arrive and since I had run out of filters this was a bit annoying. Nevertheless you make a good filter and I am happy to use them.

Kaz filter for Vicks humidifier
The humidifier and its filters work fine. I find I have to wipe out the machine more often than the instruction manual recommends. The filter needs to be rinsed and rewet at least once a week if I run the humidifier every night. DO NOT leave any water in the machine if you decide not to use the machine. Mold will grow.

It's very good and functioned well. But towards the end of its life the filter began to disintegrate and became gluey. I didn't know about it because the top looks fine and only when I removed it that I saw the bottom of the filter had become disintegrated. But overall, it worked well with my humidifier and allowed clean mist circulate in my son's bedroom.

We received this humidifier as a gift when my daughter was born. The instructions says that you should rinse the filter to extend the life of it. I was very happy to be able to go on line and find a filter replacement. I have in the past bought similar products and been unable to fine the consumable parts at the original store. The delivery is not very fast and the packaging wastes space and material, but not as much waste as if I had to replae the whole machine.

replacement filter
This filter is the right one for my Vicks humidifier, but this time the replacements are a little bit too tall and the water resevoir doesn't click into place like it should. The size difference is slight so the filter does fit with some pushing and squishing and the humidifier is working, but it still isn't quite perfect. I bought 8 replacement filters, so it looks like I'm going to have the problem for quite awhile.

The filters are OK. but I really needed the WF1 in a long continuous pc. rather than the circle and I could not find it on the website orginally when I ordered the 2's. I had to have one, so I pulled one apart and put it in my filter, the other one is in a box, and I cannot use, and will need to return it for the correct filter for my humidifier.

quick to discolor
I guess it's because it's working but it seems the the filter discolored right away. We are using distilled water and cleaning the unit regularly. I suppose I need to order more.

However, I'm disappointed with the way Kaz sent the filters. They just threw 4 of them in a box and shipped them. None of the filters were in their own separate box.

Protec Replacement WF2 Kaz Wicking Filter
The wicking filter that came with our humidifier did not have the metal in it. The two you sent had the metal......which I believe is making it a tighter fit. For the first time the water leaked out of the humidifier all over my floor and it has been making a god awful sound. And it is the correct one...it is the one listed on the humidifer itself. And that is how I got your website. And when I received the filter they were not wrapped or anything. Just thrown into a box. No paperwork, or anything. Ive been trying to work with it the best I can but it hasn't worked the same since.
WF2 Kaz Wicking Filter
Several years ago I bought a Vicks Cool Mist Humidifier. It came with the WF2 filter & instructions to order more filters. I've bought the filters, as needed, from Kaz since owning the humidifier. I'm not sure if the filters are wicking material out of the air, water or both; but they seem to do their job. Periodically, I have to change the filter due to residue on it. All has been functioning properly for, at least, three winters, so I'm content.

These filters work well and provide me with what I need for the humidifier. It would be helpful to have a more durable filter or better yet one that doesn't have to be replaced. Overall though, I'm satisfied.

Not exactly the same as what came with the new unit. It's not as rigid and doesn't stay in place quite as well. It works though, but must be careful not to bump it as load water reservoir.

I found this this product is not at the same quality as the original filter that came with my humidifier. It's close, but not the same. It's a bit too large, and I've had a hard time pulling out the filter without tearing it. I also noticed it gets discolored quicker for some reason. I'll continue using them, because I don't see any other option, but I do think the filter could use a little more tweaking.

WF2 filters
I ordered 2 filters which came delivered in the brown cardboard packing box with no receipt, directions or other packaging. Seemed a little odd, but I guess it's good for the environment not to have that extra waste. Just a caution that you must wet the filter completely before using or the top will burn and smell. I made that mistake last time since there was no directions that came with it. So good to have the new filters though which actually allows the water through. I didn't realize how little was getting through with the old nasty filter until I'm now having to add water every day rather than about every 4 days!

wicking filters
i ordered replacement filters for a vicks humidifier that wasn't functioning as well as it had when i purchased it. the replacement filters put the product right back in working order.
Good Filter
This is a good filter but I can't tell when it needs to be changed. It says if you see discoloration but it discolors along the top after the first use. It turns yellowish. This is the only filter that this humidifier takes so I will keep buying them. But next year I think I will buy a different humidifier and filter.

Lower quality
I have purchased these filters for many years and in the last few years the quality has been decreasing. This last year they wicking does not last very long and thters have to be replaced more frequently. In general the wicking is not as effective from the beginning. in older filters the water was wicked all the way to the top after several weeks of use. The latest filters the water is not even wicked to the top when they are new and after a week or so it wicks only a third of the way up. Bottom line is that the wicking is not as good as it used to be.

I was happy to be able to purchase these filters because Target and Walgreens no longer carry this product in there stores.
My disappointment was that they arrived with no covering....no plastic bag or box.
Since I purchased 4 of them, that means they will be gathering some dust(even in a closet)before I get a chance to use them.
Otherwise, I love this humidifier and hope to keep it for years. I have already had it for three years
and use it from December through March.

Quality Slipping
I have been using these filters for several years. Recently, (in the last year or so), I have noticed that the filters aren't of the same quality I used to purchase. They deteriorate much quicker than they should. I used to get 8-10 weeks out of one filter, and now it's more like 4-5.
And the way the price has gone up on these filters, it has me considering purchasing a different brand humidifier, where I can depend on higher quality accessories.
Kaz replacement filters
After figuring out that, for our humidifier, we did have to buy the round cyclindrical filter and flatten it ourselves - these filters work just great! I like the advice that came with the humidifier - buy replacement filters *now* so that you're ready for the coming seasons...I didn't do that, but I'll be ready now!

I've never ordered filters online before, but I always forget to pick them up at the store. I notice these get this red tinge of mold when it is left too long (which we did when I finally got around to ordering new filters). I really hate breaking down to clean the whole humidifier, so this option of changing the filter is so much easier for me. I also don't get the mineral/scale deposits on the machine which is very hard to clean off.

Straight Forward Purchase
I bought the two pack of the WF2 Wicking Filters. It was a straigh forward purchase, i actually did not end up using the filters this season. I used the current filter until i was done with the humidifier for the season and tossed it. The filter starteed to show spots of mold and turn pinkish, it was time to throw it out. I did notice that the replacement filters seems more robust and slightly higher quality than the one that came with the Vicks Humidifer. After using the humidifer, i saw a change in sleep quality and nasal congestion!

This filter is extremely durable. It holds up to 24/7 usage in the humidifier using NYC water supply for more than the 30 days suggested. I have 2 dogs, and had to completetly replace the last humidifier after only one year.

I triple checked that this was the correct replacement because of how it is shown as cylindrical in shape. But it indeed flattens to fit in our humidifier. We're happy with it so far.

Great filter, long lasting
We mostly use the Vick's Cool Mist humidifier in the winter. These filter are great because they'll last about 2 months. Therefore, having a 2 pack takes us through the winter and we're set.

This filter is nice and sturdy, but it is not a perfect fit for the vaporizer that it is supposed to fit. The one that originally came with it fit much better. That being said, it's not THAT bad of a fit and the product works just fine.

Although next time, I would rather have a humidifier that doesn't need a filter. But this is great for what it's supposed to do.

Filter works as described, fits my vicks humidifier. It's pretty fragile (as the wicking filter itself is made of paper), though, and seems to develop mold pretty quickly. Best to take it out and soak it in a bleach solution, then rinse it well before re-using.

I gave a rating of 4 because I received the product quickly and I have in the past. I would have given a 5 but I have never used a humidifyer before. But I seems to work quite well.

This is just the filter I needed. The picture is a little deceiving because it is a flat filter....just like the original that came with my humidifier. I was a little worried I was going to tear it when I put it in...it seemed a little big...but once I got it in it was just fine.

2 Weeks to Mold & Discoloration
I really don't know if it's the humidifier or the filer, but 2 weeks after putting a new filter in the humidifier, I now have mold and discoloration. The first to happen was the discoloration, followed a week later by mold. I live in a VERY dry house - hot air heating - and can't fathom why there would be mold. In short, I am very unhappy.
Service from Kaz, however, was great. No problems at all there! Easy to deal with, package arrived on time, etc.
