The humidifier worked great for a while, quietly and accurately maintaining humidity, with no leaks. The tank is particularly nice and of solid design.
After about two years, it abruptly started making a lot of noise on startup, and then a loud grinding noise in the middle of the night. It still humidifies, but keeps us awake, and is therefore useless. I'm pursuing warranty repairs now (as it has a three-year warranty).
This humidifier works great. It isn't as quiet as I thought so often have to turn it off if I am talking on the phone or trying to concentrate. Otherwise, it works great.
I am mosy pleased with my recent purchase as far as design and efficiency.
The unit does all that was advertised and fits in to our room decor quietly.
As far as we am concerned, we definately made the right choice.

Humidifier-not goodI bought this humidifier in Nov. 2009 and used it during the winter season. Now I wanted to use it again and it does not work. I plugged it it and turned the knob, nothing happened. I am very disappointed for the price I paid. Now I have to buy a new one and it won't be from your company or IAllergy Co. either.
Great but could be quieter
I had purchased a smaller humidifier last year made by honeywell as well which worked fine except for the fact that it only had a .6 gallon tank. Mine quit working last month but was still under warranty (these are good things to check on). The manufacturer has a three year warranty on both the one I had and this one (so I don't know why the other person was complaining). I took my old one back to the store I purchased it at with my receipt and they gave me credit towards purchasing a new one. This one works great except the fan is a little on the noisy side when it runs. So far the dust in the room has been cut down drastically which is a plus because we have a dog that loves to stay in our room.
Overall I love this humidifier, it would be 5 stars if not for the slightly loud fan.

Easy to breakThe humidifer works wonderfully; however, the design makes it susceptible to breakage. The place where the reservoir is meant to join to the unit has a glass piece in it and if you accidentally drop the tank, it is easily broken. This happened to me and I dropped it on carpet.

No power supply on my humidifierI purchased a honeywell Quietcare humidifier from Sams club but it lost power and fail to function properly. I have changed the filter and still no poweron it .What else could I do to activate this equipment.Do I have to change the electric cord to make it work?
NO power on my humidiferMy humidifier failed to function even when I changed the filters and cleaned the entire device. There is no power on it.I don't know wheather the power cord has melted inside or not. What should I do next?

great humidifier, have one from 3 years ago, no problems works like it says, bought another one to have in reserve just in case! great product except filters pretty expensive have to buy in bulk.
DO NOT BUY
I have returned this unit three times since Nov 2009 because it stopped working at some point. The first purchase stopped working within a week. I have to return the one I have now because it stopped working and I will not be getting another one. The unit looks good, works well when it works, but I will not recommend this unit to anyone.
This product works great!!! My wife and I live in Chicago, and our winters are pretty harsh. The air gets very very dry and we finally broke down and bought a humidifier. We chose this particular until because of all of the mold and allergally froppeden protection from the UV light. My wife suffers from asthma, so we needed a good product that would not cause her more harm. This works great!! Our skin is not dry and cracked any more, and the dust in our home has drastically dropped. Depending on the humidity setting, the unit can go for 2-3 days without refilling. The only thing I would have liked to have seen as an option is to see a digital readout with the current humidity level in the room, like most advanced DE-humidifiers. I would most certainly reccomend to everyone and anyone.
Model NumberI would just like to let you know that the model number I have is HCM-305T-CST (according to manual). Couldn't find it above. Purchased at Discount Drug Mart. I rated 5, but haven't really tried it yet.

Nice look, fits in and seems to do the job. I wish it was a bit quieter but they all are like that.

HumidifierThis is the 2nd one we have purchased. First one lasted about 2 years. Purchased another one, same model, and this one only lasted one year.

Very disappointedI went to Canadian Tire to purchase a humidifier and the Honeywell HCM 315T tower stood out quickly just for its looks and design. However, looks and design mean nothing if the unit doesn't work properly. I took the machine home and followed the directions EXACTLY from the manual. I turned the unit one and I really liked the blue and yellow lights in the dark...but to my dismay, the unit only stayed on for 10-15 minutes and then shut off. I thought that the machine had reached the 50% humidity I had set it at but unfortunately this wasn't the case. I tried to turn the unit back on manually but nothing happened. I even unplugged the machine and checked the filter to see if it was still wet and it was. My wife then noticed an odd burning-type smell in the room. I guess the motor either seized up or just broke down. I am returning the unit back today and after this experience, I'm not sure I should buy another Honeywell product. Just putting the unit back in the box was a hassle as water was spilling everywhere on my carpet. I am so disappointed as this was a very nice looking machine. I think I'll need to spend a little more and go with a better built humidifier.
We like the looks and the efficiency of this humidifier which stands in our large living room,
the only drawback ...even at the slowest speed it is still fairly noisy, but we can live with it.
It's difficult to rate the number of stars when I just purchased the unit.
Your instruction booklet is not that helpful.
