Protec Replacement WF2 Kaz Wicking Filter

They were just what I expected. They seem to be working great in my humidifier. Good price and quick delivery.

The filter fit perfect and the purchase on the website was smooth. Shipping was average. My only complaint is the filter started to discolor after only a few days. My original filter lasted at least 45-60 days before even a hint of discolor was noticed.  Not sure if the quality is different?

I've had a few problems with the WF2 filters in the past. One is that there was a lot of dust in the air in my previous residence, so the filter would be clogged with dust. The second is that I was lazy about changing the antimicrobial cleaning cartidges, so growing things would take their effect on the wick/filter. And the third is that I was remiss about cleaning or changing the filter. So, I now regularly change the cleaning cartidges, and am in a place that feeds the filter less dust. Performance is really good now. I'm also now committed to regularly cleaning the filter and humidifier, and that has helped. I wish their was an easier way to clean built-up dirt in the filter to extend it's life, but am hoping that if I start before it's caked with the stuff that that will make it easier. And if it doesn't, well, then it's done it's job and I'll change it. The proper overall maintenance makes a big difference either way.
