This Demineralization Cartridge is a replacement for the older part number: DC-51-6. It is exactly the same cartridge, and is intended for use with Vicks Ultrasonic Humidifier Models: V5100 and V5100N.
The Demineralization Cartridge is placed in the bottom of the humidifier and helps to filter the water and remove large particles and minerals so that they are not misted into the air with the water.

Humidifier Filter
I'm unable to purchase this filter for my older humidifier in local stores. On this site the filters are readily available and of good quality.
DC-51 filter
I use these filters in my Cool Mist humidifier. They work great and the website is so easy to use. Very user-friendly and shipped in less time than they said. I am very pleased w/ this product.
