Honeywell Filter Free Warm Moisture Humidifier

My 85 young mother uses a humidifier nightly to help her breathe & not get nose bleeds.  This unit is great!!  It produces warm mist & has a containter for extra vapor if ever needed.  Great idea for congestion problems..

I ordered the HWM 950 on 3/3/12 and received it on 3/06/12.  I was excited to get it in a timely fashion because I suffer from chronic nasal dryness.  When I got home, I opened the box and read all the instructions on the proper usage.  I'm now excited and ready to get a much needed good nights sleep.  Guess what?  I couldn't get the freaking cap off to put water in it.  I was so devasted at 3 in the morning I thought I was going to loose my mine.  I actually had tears in my eyes at age 40.  I have never brought a product that I couldn't open.  Maybe not put it together, but never not open.  I'm going to return it, and try another one becasue I trust that this is an isolated incident.  Besides, this is the one I want at the great price I paid for it.

I have had several other cool mist humidifiers, but this warm air mist humidifier is by far better. I like the quitness of it, very little if no sound. No filters to mess with. It puts out alot more moisture than a cool mist humidifier. Have been using it for a little over 2 weeks now and so far I am very pleased with it. If you do the daily maintance which takes about 5 to 10 minutes a day, you will stay ahead of the mineral build up. It cleans up very easily with just warm water and a scotchbrite cleaning pad. Weekly I do use vinigar to clean per instructions. This is normal for any humidifier. We have well water with alot of minerals in it, but so far has not been a problem. I have had more expensive humidifiers that did not work as well as this one. Good product for the money.
