I had to replace my UV bulb on my Slant Fin humidifier... and when I got it, there was a little metal ball clanking around inside the bulb's glass envelope. I called customer service and they said it is suppose to be there... and lo and behold, sure 'nuf, there was a little metal ball clanking around inside the old bulb, too!
Perhaps posting this will save someone a phone call.
Anyway, the light went in with zero problems and my humidifier's UV protection is once again operational.

It was easy to find the right bulb for my humidifier, it came in the mail very quickly and was easy to install.
I am glad that there is such a system to keep the air cleaner while keeping humidity up. The bulb came earlier than expected and shipped dvery well protected so no breakage and my daughter says she notices the difference i dont worry about the bacteria level building up in the system like the other types and i dont have to put bleah in the water or the bacteriacide chemicals and then have them put in the air when the machine is running
I bought this to have as a replacement so haven't used it yet. It is thecorrect replacement for my Enviricare humidifier.
Neccessary part for warm mist humidifier, kills germs on H2O.
I have a Vicks V790 warm mist humidifier. During the winter months my 84yo mother whom lives at my home. Sleeps with humidifier on all night long. Unit has a cup for Vicks liquid inhalant. I have placed the unit on a table next to her bed, so the humid air is blowing right above her. She has commented in the past, that the nights she didn't run the unit, she didn't sleep very well.
THis bulb will work for VICKS 790N WARM MIST. Remember, a WARMUP time, is required before sufficient current is flowing to signal the unit to turn off the UV replacement light (red). My unit took about two minutes.
The bulb arrived in a timely manner and seems to be working fine. I was concerned when the box arrived and Idiscovered it was in a huge box with no paper or padding to keep it from bouncing around inside the box during shipment. It was a small enough item that it probably could have been sent in a padded envelope and even saved me some shipping costs. Other than that I'm happy with the order.
the new bulb works fine. my only question is, why did the original bulb need replacing after only 1000 hrs of use?
First bulb purchased was defective...after calling customer serice bulb was replaced very fast no questions asked.Highly recomended seller
I purchased 2 bulbs. When I opened the first bulb, the glue from the packaging was stuck to the bulb itself. When I tried to remove the glue from the bulb, the bulb broke in my hands. '(The glass is very thin.)
When I opened the second bulb, I was aware of the situation. The glue was stuck again, so I was very careful and was able to remove the glue without damaging the bulb.
Once I got the glue off, the bulb worked fine, but I'm still out one bulb and had fine pieces of broken glass all over the floor.
