I already have another model of this humidifier (under the name ReliOn) and love it, so I knew I'd love this one, too. This is a great humidifier for small to medium-sized rooms, and with the cold, dry Winter we're having this year, both of my humidifiers are getting a real workout. The best thing about this is the very wide mouth on the water tank, which makes it easy to rinse and dry completely and quickly. Care and maintenance is also easy. On the low setting, this unit is very quiet, and a full tank of water will last more than all night long. I wanted a warm-mist humidifier, as I didn't want small rooms being cold and damp; the warm steam is also good for inhaling with colds and congestion. This fits the bill all the way around.
I bought this machine to replace a much more expensive humidifier that had broken. So far, this is by far the superior machine. It pumps out warm steam like a champ, and it's remarkably easy to refill (there's even an handle to make lifting the water chamber easier). My only (minor) complaint is that it can be a tiny bit noisy if it's on the highest setting. Otherwise, this thing is perfect!
This humidifier is great. Does exactly what it should and does it quietly. Exactly as described and very well priced.
The Honeywell warm mist is more compact, easier to operate, place, and maintain than similar volume Vicks products. Also, its "tighter" assembly is not susceptible to leaking like its competitors.
My daughter loves her new apt humidifier. Easy to fill, great misting ability. It is lowering her cost of heating by creating more moist air. Thanks for the quick shipment.
After researching Humidifiers for the office and becoming overwhelmed with the noise of some, leaking, hard to clean, etc. I found this unit... They are completely silent , easy to clean and No leaking.. Love them and plan on purchasing them for my home also..
As an intelligent customer I wouldn't be rated much higher than a "4" on a 1 to 10 scale.
However, a lady named Sonja Wilkinson has been very patient, resolved my mistakes, and
provided me with timely and very useful information every time I needed it. I can only guess
at how much she must contribute Kaz's high standing in the market place; but it must be

What an awesome product! It's easy to use and it shuts off if I'm away while its running. Perfect moisture in a 15x10 room.
I sleep so well now. I used to wake up with sore throats, itchy and dry nose, and sneezing. Now I sleep through the night and wake up so comfortably. I wish I got one sooner. It's easy to clean and fill.
This unit works fine and is easy to fill and clean. I bought a couple and they keep the house humidified during the dry winter.
Been looking for something like this for some time that does not use a filter.
With our water supply, filters had to be changed often and soon cost more than the machine.
I had it up and running within 15 minutes and it works great.
I have had several other cool mist humidifiers, but this warm air mist humidifier is by far better. I like the quitness of it, very little if no sound. No filters to mess with. It puts out alot more moisture than a cool mist humidifier. Have been using it for a little over 2 weeks now and so far I am very pleased with it. If you do the daily maintance which takes about 5 to 10 minutes a day, you will stay ahead of the mineral build up. It cleans up very easily with just warm water and a scotchbrite cleaning pad. Weekly I do use vinigar to clean per instructions. This is normal for any humidifier. We have well water with alot of minerals in it, but so far has not been a problem. I have had more expensive humidifiers that did not work as well as this one. Good product for the money.
My 85 young mother uses a humidifier nightly to help her breathe & not get nose bleeds. This unit is great!! It produces warm mist & has a containter for extra vapor if ever needed. Great idea for congestion problems..
so far so good it has made the room feel warmer and had to turn the furnace dow
I and my husband both have to use oxygen while we sleep and when we wake up our throat and mouth are very dry which is very uncomfortable for both of us.
We bought this product hoping it would help and now we feel great, no dryness, we feel much better and as a bonus we don't have to dust in our bedroom as often,
We love this product and recommend it to everyone.
Great value. Easy to set up, operate, and clean. I got a warm mist in less than 2 minutes from turning it on. VERY quiet. Easily humidifies an average size bedroom.
Works great! Only problem is our water is well water and has lots of salt and mineals in the water. Cleaning is simple I only have to use the spray setting on the kitchen sink to dislove the build up every three days. I run two of these and it keeps the humidity at 35-40
this Model HWM-950 product worked great last night. I was able to sleep comfortaby and did not have a dry nose and no nose bleed from dryness in the room. So far good. Excellent value for the price.
Very nice product. Works very well. Would never switch back to cool most. Very quite would highly recommend.
- Very quiet
- Automatic shut-off is great
- Holds a lot of water
- Nice and warm
- Easy to fill and clean
- Compact and sturdy
Great product. The only problem I'm having is finding the owner's manual online. I don't know how to clean the white stuff from inside and I lost my owner's manual. HELP!
|Filter Free Warm Moisture Humidifier (HWM-950)||29.99||1||$29.99|
The HWM-950 (Honeywell Warm Moisture) has turned out to be a very good purchase. You never know until you actually use a product, but this humidifier is great. I've only had it three weeks, I have it running for around 8-10 hours daily (after returning from work and until bedtime), so it remains to be seen how durable it will be with that amount of use, It is similar in size and function to my older Duracraft humidifier - both of which I've purchased from Kaz.com at a great price! I have had my Duracraft for at least seven years and it still works as well as when it was new. I do take good care of it, clean it occasionally (we live in a very dry climate and have no problem with mold), scrape the mineral deposits etc twice or so every winter, and only once or twice have let it run out of water and the humidifier automatically DID shut off, as the HWM-950 is advertised to do. I'm expecting this HWM-950 to be just as good!
It puts out a good amount of steam, and along with my older humidier, both in our general living area, the two make a noticeable difference for our dry skin and eyes and noses!! It gurgles periodically, sounds a bit like water boiling gently on the stove, but the sounds are barely noticeable. Cosmetically, the black/clear color and modern design look less "hospital-like", if that matters to you.
It seems to be a good machine. 5 stars!
Pumps the much need humidity into the air so a persons lungs don`t dehydrate and contract pneumonia .
Sleek black design fits into any decor, easy to fill and clean, quiet operation, love the night light.
Purchased for my son. He said he likes the fact that it is quiet and does not have to be filled as often.
I bought this to supplement other humidification devices. I prefer to have several small humidifiers, for several reasons. One reason is that taking one out of service for periodic maintenance doesn't have nearly the effect I'd see if I lost, say, 50% of humidification capacity. This one is just barely big enough to run overnight. You have to fill it up not long before going to bed and shut it off not long after rising.
This is one of the few heater type humidifiers available on the market today. Why the move toward sonic, I have no idea. I do not like the sonic types of humidifiers, mostly because despite the claims made about them they put out significant mineral dust (even if you buy the expensive filters to go with them). The heater types don't do this. I think the sonic types have a higher total cost of ownership, partly because they dramatically shorten the life of HVAC filters.
One other model I bought a long time ago got hot from underneath. It scorched my linoleum. I am pleased to report this unit does not have that sort of problem.
This unit is easy to clean, and as you can see from the photo it is handsomely styled. I like the handle in the top of the tank.
Like all other portable humidifiers I have looked at, owned, or tried, this one lacks a carry strap. We have those for car batteries, because the batteries are heavy. We should have them for portable humidifiers, because (with a full water tank) they are heavy. They are, if the heater type, also hot unless they've been allowed to cool for a while. So it's a great safety feature not just to prevent throwing a disk out in your back but also to prevent burns. Since that feature isn't on any other units I know of, I can't count lack of it as a minus for this unit.
I just bought it today so I can't give much of a review yet. It was easy to set up and seems to be working fine.
The 2 things I like most about this product are; no need to purchase replacement filters, and the option of adding inhalant solution to relieve a stuffy head.
very happy with this product. works well on tap water. no extra's to buy. auto shut off.
We have had several humidifiers over the years so when our humidifier broke, we decided to get a new Honywell humidifier.Ma
This HoneywellHWM-950 is really a good product which helps my children and family. And you spend a little money for a good product.
The Honeywell Humidifier works perfect to keep our bedroom air from drying out during the harsh winter. It gives off enough moisture to keep us comfortable at night and wake up feeling good.
I recently purchased this Honeywell humidifiesr for a single room where my pets sleep and I watch television. This has helped with my pets' dry skin issue in the winter.
It was very easy to initiate use and simple to operate. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a single room humidifier. If you need to humdify a larger space, I would get a humidifier that has more water capacity. I use this only during the day, not at night, and it needs refilling each day.
I am very happy with it, appreciate the warm, moist air since the furnace runs constantly these days. I keep it in the
living room where I spend the majority of my time and does a fine job.
This humidifier is very easy to use. I like that it automatically shuts off when it runs out of water. The output of water is very high. The only problem is that the tank is small considering how often you may have to refill. A small inconvienence. Overall I am very satified with the product especially considering the small price.
This a great little humidifier. Works exactly as advertised with very little backround noise; easy to maintain and quite sturdy. I would recomend this to all my friends and family who are looking for a humidifier.
Great Product, works well & good company to do business with.
The Honeywell room humidifier has worked well for me. I have had it for 3 weeks and I am happy with the product. It is easy to clean and cleans up with a straight solution of white vinegar. My water has a considerable amount of lime deposits and I went through filters quickly with my old humidifier. I like the Honeywell because this model doesn't use a filter and I can clean it myself.
On low it will last through the night. On high it won't and it seems to put out a little too much moisture in one little area as I see the evidence/water "stains" on the table around the in the morning. It's very easy to take apart and clean! Much easier then the Vicks model which you seemed to have to unscrew. I do wish they had a cleaning solution to help with the calcium deposits as vinegar doesn't seem to quite do the job. Overall I am very satsified with the product for humidifing, cleaning etc.
I ordered the HWM-950. Its perfect for one room (our bedroom), to get the moisture we need while sleeping. It makes the room feel warmer, and the warm moisture is great to breathe in when you have a cold, it even has a cup for a liquid inhalant. I have had no problems with it shutting off when it runs out of water. It runs all night on the low setting just fine. The best part is not having to spend money on filters, it doesnt use one! ITs very quiet. It does everything it says it does. We are very happy with it.
good product for the money. works well would recommend. Just do not turn it on before you go to bed because it empties kind of early. would suggest the low setting works well would recommend
this is a great. compact humidifier! because it is small, you have to refill more often...happy with it and would buy again.
Humidifier is easy to use and relatively easy to clean. I noticed that (at least on mine) you cannot leave the tank full and not running, because it tends to leak. If you fill it and start it, it's fine. Cleaning regularly is very important. Nothing in the literature says anything about using distilled water but I think I am going to get some- seems as if that would help alot.
as advertised , does the job. Easy to operate.
Could be a little easier to load water. Holder dies not easily fit in sinks
Although it's nice this humidifier is small so you can place it almost anywhere, it's jug is also small, and we have re-fill it at least twice a day. The nightlight gets a bit annoying at night if you keep it in the bedroom. Otherwise we love it.
Only two days into it great difference in the air. We like it. The only thing that it is not as it says on the box is that in the low setting the water is out in about 16 hours not 24 as its says. However, for us 16 is enough.
We just got our humidifier. It looks really nice and sleek. It was quick to start misting and is super quiet.
Exactly what we were looking for. You do need to clean it regularly but that is a lot easier than dealing with the white dust from ultrasonic humidifiers.
I really liked this product, works great and makes no noises, the only thing is thet I dropped the water tank and it broke so be careful!
This steamer/vaporizer is ideal for bedroom(s) because it operates relatively quietly and is easy to re-fill and re-insert reservoir without dribbling water on dresser/table tops, etc. Lighted switch backplate is an ideal night light, although it might take some getting used to at first. Minimal sound of steaming also disconcerting at first, but then becomes gentle "white" noise in background. KAZ sells little tank inserts for anti-microbial action, but should augment that marketing with an anti-mineralization insert...something to help keep minerals from depositing on heater dome which diminishes efficiency.
Works great. I love how easy it is to clean and opperate. Especially love the safety shut off. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I wish it had a medium setting. Think about it! :)
Bought this humidifier for use in our bedroom. With the dry Winter heat, a humidifier is a necessity. This Honeywell humidifier is compact, easy to refill, and relatively quiet for a warm mist humidifier. There are 2 humidity settings to choose, as well. My only complaint: The tank is completely empty after 7 hours if the "high" setting is chosen, which seems a little fast to me.
Priced very fairly compared to other brands! Your company is very well heard of and has great reviews. This will definately help me to remove dry air caused by my dorm room's heating system. I love the fact that you have a 3 year warranty!
We only have it for two days, but it seems to ease my partner's flu symptoms - cough and congestion. Quiet and easy to use.
This arrived two days after I got sick with a very sore throat that lasted a week.
I think I would have sounded & felt worse if I had not ordered this Honeywell humidifier the week before.
i have very dry eyes all winter from the heat & haven't had to use eye drops as often as usual. I have been home sick all week instead of going to work. I have had full benefit of this since late on December 16. UPS did not ring my doorbell because I expected it to come Last
Monday & would have heard bell. I had to track order & found them on back porch.
I have only had this product for four days, but so far I am satisfied with it. I purchased it for my five month old son. It is easy to operate and seems to be giving me the results I expected. Thank you!
I have been running the HWM-950 Humidifier in my bedroom for about 3 weeks, so far. Running at the low setting it is very quiet and lasts about 13 hours on one filling. The water tank with its large opening is easy to fill. Overall I am happy with the level of humidity in the room and with the operation of the humidifier.
Bought this on a Friday night and ran it in my medium sized living room and noticed an almost immediate difference in the air moisture. I have gas heat and it's been near or below zero for a few days. Slept with this on and not to give TMI but no bloody nose blowings today! I only gave 4 stars because the unit is a little loud, I like white noise while sleeping but while I was awake I had to turn the TV up a bit. Very satisfied with the value for the price paid, $30.
It works fine and I have no complaints. I was trying to find one that held more water but also I didn't want to pay alot of $$ so this does the job, you just have to refill it every day.
We purchased this small room humidifier to add some moisture to our dry, forced air heat. Our purchase arrived quickly and boxed nicely for the travel. The product is great, for a great economy price, however, it doesn't seem to put out the level of humidity I was hoping in our small 15x12 bedroom. It is better however.
IT IS VERY QUIET SO FAR .THIS IS THE FIRST DAY I AM USING IT.I LIKE THE DIFFERENT HEATING UNIT COMPARED TO ONES I HAVE HD IN THE PAST.
Works for what we needed it for. I like that it doesn't have a filter to be replaced.
My first one was a "Reli(On" (KAZ usa Inc) It worked well for a few years, then developed a leak at the top of the tank that allowed air in the top thus water out the bottom.
I looked around and found a Honewell (KAZ usa Inc). Price was good with a 3 year warranty so I bought it from an ACE hardware store. It works great. Not really a Honeywell. KAZ licensed the name only. That's what is says on the box.
KAZ has a good product, even the old one. I fixed the tank leak with superglue and it leaks no more. Now I have two.
This product does everything itis supposed to do and does it very well. I have no complaints. I do, however. would like it to produce a little more steam during its operation,
I have only used this for one night so far, but it quickly heats up and offers good, even humidity in the room. I like a warm moisture humidifier for sleeping in the winter time. It is a nice design, easy to use, but I am not happy about how loud it is. I first put it on high and had to turn it down to low. It was still loud, but fortunately I can fall asleep easliy. Low was sufficient for my room.
The last humidifier I had was very quiet. Once it heated up, you did not know it was there. If someone is bothered by noise when sleeping, this may not be the best choice. Otherwise, I am very happy with it.
I have bought several of these humidifiers and they last for a few seasons, work very well and look great. The one before this one had a problem, however, that I have seen written up on the internet. The fill container cap got stuck and NOBODY could get it off! Others had been tight but this one wouldn't budge. I see that the one I just bought from Kaz has a different cap so I am hopeful. But really good product overall
Great product. Only suggestion would be the inclusion of the Protect cleaning cartridge. THis will provide consumers with a one-time use sample so they knwo what they are getting. And it will ensure that you have customer follow up with that product. Since it was not included as a sample, I will not be purchasing it as I simply don't know why this is better than a bleach/vinegar cleaning mix. Something to consider.
Works very well, will probably buy aanother one for our bedroom. Don"t like cleaning it but that's life.
Warm mist provided very quickly on either low or high setting. Regular weekly cleaning a must as hard deoosits can form quickly on heating elements depending on water type.
Our recent purchase of your Honeywell humidifier was a perfect fit for our needs. We purchased it with the idea to help humidify
our bedroom at night and from the moment we turned it on it began making a huge difference. Furthermore it was easy on our budget. I especially love how easy it is to keep clean.
It's nice having the humidity in the air and not filling the tank every half hour like my other humidifier did. Glad I bought it and it was at a fantastic price, well worth it.
We found this Honeywell humidifier on the net.
We were using Ultrasonic humidifier, but oh my my, that produced a huge amount of white dust thing. It was all over our place and started affecting our electronic stuff.
We wanted to exchange to much simpler humidifier and found this.
So far, this works great!!! No more white dust.
With this price, we can't complain. We'll buy this again if it's broken.
I purchased this model to replace my Honeywell Quicksteam Humidifier I purchased two years ago (I was sad to see the model being phased out) and thought this small humidifier looks great and touts easy maintenance. I do prefer the heated vapor models as they can be used to vaporize camphor/eucalyptus solution to soothe colds and coughs with the warm moisture.
I am quite wary of "filter free" models as they often sacrifice ease of use in the name of cost savings and sadly this new model suffers from this fate. The heating element is a rough textured metal knob (the Quicksteam models had a flat stainless steel plate that was maintained with mineral absorbtion pads). The metal "knob" heating element requires about a cup of distilled vinegar to delime/descale and needs to be done daily with this model to eliminate mineral build-up from using tap water.
One definate plus is the size of this model's resevoir and the sleek appearance as well as it has a lower energy usage than the Quicksteam model. However, the requirement of daily deep cleaning is about an investment of 10 minutes per day with vinegar and a toothbrush to prevent minerals and bacteria--that rather invalidates the claim of "up to three days' continuous use on one filling" on the packaging. The exterior design is sleek to the detriment of the interior mechanisms and channels which the steam passes through--some of these parts are dishwasher safe but collect scale from the escaping steam and are hard to clean thoroughally.
The price on this unit is quite right and it's hard to find a good humidifier (even an adequate one is a challenge to purchase below $50 for what is usually one season of reliable use) so I still reccomend it--the lower energy usage is certainly a good reason to consider this unit and might be worth the cost of distilled water to reduce scale build-up. I am still a fan of the older "Quicksteam" model as it used the mineral absorbtion pads to help with cleaning and had fewer, simpler parts to maintain but once the designers make some basic improvements on this model I am sure it will be a better choice and look better than the Quicksteam on my nightstand.
Used for a day now, seems okay in functioning. The multiple settings are good and so is the effectivity of the humidifier.
Have been using for a day now, seems to be functioning well. The multiple settings are a plus so is the fact that it is filter less.
I asked the Lowe's personnel before leaving the store and they told me that you have to clean it if you use it everyday. I don't plan on using it every day but cleaning it once in a while seems reasonable. Kids are sick and our previous vaporizor bit the dust. I wish they made these in the USA and had an automatic shut off with a an option for cool mist. I know it's a lot to ask for some quality but for some reason these things are just not manufactured with much thought to quality engineering. Thanks for reading my thoughts.
First one we bought works great. The second has leaked from day 1. It needs a new tank, but can not find one on this website.
Works well was justed disappointed because it does not last for 24 hours on the high setting.
I ordered the HWM 950 on 3/3/12 and received it on 3/06/12. I was excited to get it in a timely fashion because I suffer from chronic nasal dryness. When I got home, I opened the box and read all the instructions on the proper usage. I'm now excited and ready to get a much needed good nights sleep. Guess what? I couldn't get the freaking cap off to put water in it. I was so devasted at 3 in the morning I thought I was going to loose my mine. I actually had tears in my eyes at age 40. I have never brought a product that I couldn't open. Maybe not put it together, but never not open. I'm going to return it, and try another one becasue I trust that this is an isolated incident. Besides, this is the one I want at the great price I paid for it.
Will keep you posted.
I put 2 because I like the way it looks, though I haven't used it yet. But I will be glad to give you an assessment after I do.
the product is poor. I had to always be placing the maching in order for the dryness in my nose to become clear. I do have the unit on the floor, but still the vapor don't give off enough comfort. I would not recommend this product.
I purchased this item b/c it does not need a filter, which is great. Also, its streamline design was very appealing -- it really doesn't take up much room. But, there is a terrible flaw in this product -- it leaks water, lots of water. If you turn the unit off while there is still water in the chamber, it slowly leaks out, all over the place. The first night I used it, I filled up the water chamber, turned in on for about 7 hours, then turned if off when I woke up. I came home from work and it had leaked all the water out onto my wood dresser (eek!) and into my clothing drawers. So the chamber must be completely empty before you can turn it off -- this is inconvenient.
I bought this item and it leaks, I called, you were going to send me a label to send it back and you will send me another one, I havent received the label yet
The product is still new to us but we like it ! Love the filter free and warm mist. But what I really like the most is the auto shut off when water chamber is empty. The light is green when running and turns to orange when out of water and in rest mode.
I purchased a honeywell humidifier which broke after 3 days due to a design flaw in the water tank. I contacted honeywell customer service several times and got no response. Would not recommend buying honeywell.
the replacement tank was supposed to fit relion rwm 975n. it is not even close.
have to return it but no return form is included in the box?
My rating will remain a one until I can get someone who can tell me how to get the ring on the bottom of the tank cap. The machine works well but the ring is worn out!!! HOW DO I GET MORE RINGS?
I was very disappointed in this product. To avoid having mineral build up on the heating element, I used filtered water and after the first use, the heating element was caked with powder. I cleaned the machine out every day. but the build up was horrendous. If they made a replacement part for just the heating element, I would purchase it and not complain. The rest of the components are fine and in good shape.
