Best price and the perfect product for my needs, actually received it sooner than expected.
Have owned this humidifier for 3 years. Only maintenance has been to replace the filter once a year and replace PR-2 every 30 fillings.
I am very satisfied with this product and will replace it with the same model when it finely fails. I expect this to be a long time from now.
Received this Honeywell humidifier in a timely manner from Kaz.com. A humidifer was recommended to us by my doctor as the air in New England during the winter is super dry and pretty much everyone in our family suffers from sinus issues at this time of year as well. We purchased this one because of the name and because there is very little to choose from elsewhere in this size. We've had the humidifier running for two weeks now. We use it to humidify the entire how (about 3,000 sq.ft.) and it ran continuously for over a week in order to get to about the doctor recommended 30% humidity. The tanks empty in 9 hours, consistently, when the humidifer is running constantly. Now the humidifer runs periodically, more so than not. It's just hard to keep this house at this humidity - not the humidifer's fault. So far so good on the operation of the humidifier. We don't find it noisy at all. I'm filling the tanks about once a day, but am happy to do so. Cleaning is easy. Note: We are all reaping the health benefits at this point.
My entire family loves the HCM-6009!!!! It works awesome for any family that has a woodstove to help stay warm and save money in the winter months! I highly recommend this humidifier for anyone suffering with sinus issues as my entire family does. How convient it is aslo to order anything we need for our HCM-6009 on line. We are breathing better, saving money, and really enjoying our woodstove / fireplace this winter season more than ever before. One other bonus is the fact that the HCM-6009 is a very quiet model, so we sleep well also!!!! Thanx Honeywell from my entire family!
It was so easy to put together and fill that my wife did it on her own and she has degeneration of the Spine which limits her lifting severely. It is very quiet when running as well.
it runs very quiet and seems to do an adequate job of keeping the set humidity we prefer in our house for health, comfort and protection of our furniture, especially our 5' 6" Yamaha grand piano with its disclavier player unit; It stays perfectly in tune until we have it serviced 6 months when the heat comes on.
Works Great can notice a huge different in our air. Especially since we have dry winters here in Wisconsin.
Excellent Humidifier. Keeps large room moist. This is the first winter that I have not had sinus problems and I contribute this soley to this humidfier.
Quiet & efficient.
Like that it has 2 fill tanks for filling as it is not so heavy to lift.
The first humidifier that can actually keep our large living room with dual grand pianos and cathedral ceiling humid! Autoreg feture works well.
I like it. This is a large size humidifier, but not so large it is difficult to handle. Good design with two water tanks.
This humidifier moves a lot of air compared to my old "Graco" humidifier, but the noise level is about the same, and possible a bit less.
Time will tell how it holds up. The other (Graco) only lasts one season and then the motor starts to make noise. The warranty on this is 3X that of the other, so I expect no issues for a long time.
With the large volume of air movement, the humitidy level comes up to desired fairly quickly. We are enjoying our new purchase, and I have another of the same in my "shopping cart" to purchase next month (we use two humidifiers in our home to keep humidity level comfortable and have less static "zapping" )
I was going nuts! The humidity in our home had really dropped I found out..(cold wet northest weather! and was drying out our noses..making it a very unbearable sensation in our nose, interfering with our breathing thru our noses, keeping us up all night..getting maybe three-to four hrs asleep...making us very irratable and driving up the anxiety anticipating the breathing and nose problem again. We finally got the HMC6009 deliever to our home...and wham -bam..i set it up. In little over an hour I could feel the relief and ease in breathing!!!!! Now I have it set to my humidity comfort level and I know longer feel like I'm going to exploded with anxiety trying to get nasil relief!!! Even our dog doesnt snore as loud anymore!!!!

We purchased this unit recently and we have nothing bad to say about it. We have a 2 story, 1700 square ft house and with the unit on the main floor it was able to bring the humidity in our house up between 38-48 percent running on low. The product switches on and off by itself to regulate the humidity without us having to touch anything. We do have to fill the tanks once a day, but with the two tanks it makes it super easy to fill one while the other is still working.
I PURCHASED THE HONEYWELL HCM 6009 QUIET-CARE HUMIDIFIER ON THE AMAZON.COM WEBSITE. I READ MANY OF THE CUSTOMER REVIEWS ON THEIR SATIFACTION LEVELS AND FOUND THAT ABOUT 90% OF THE REVIEWS I READ WERE MOSTLY 5 STAR AND 4 STAR REVIEWS. THE OTHER THING I LIKED ABOUT THIS HONEYWELL HCM 6009 HUMIDIFIER WAS THAT IT HAD AN UNCONDITIONAL 3-YEAR WARRANTY, WHICH TELLS ME IT WILL LAST AT LEAST 3 YEARS. I LIVE IN A VERY DRY CLIMATE OUT WEST AND SO I WILL USE THIS ALL YEAR LONG--EVEN IN THE SUMMER MONTHS. THIS HUMIDIFIER WAS PRICED AT $99.99 AND WAS REDUCED FROM IT'S ORIGINAL PRICE OF $150.00. I ALSO RECEIVED FREE SHIPPING. I HAVE HAD THIS PRODUCT 1 DAY(HAVING RECEIVED IT MONDAY, MARCH 4, 2013 IN THE LATE AFTERNOON. IT WAS EASY TO PUT THE PIECES TOGETHER AND THE DIRECTIONS IN THE OPERATION OF THE HUMIDIFIER WERE VERY WELL WRITTEN. I AM PLEASED WITH THE HUMIDIFER AND HOPE IN 3-6 MONTHS I WILL BE ABLE TO SEND IN AN UPDATED REVIEW OF THIS HUMIDIFIER TO AMAZON.COM AND TO KAZ.COM. THE PRODUCT WAS ON BACK ORDER AND THE SCHEDULED DELIVERY WAS 4-6 WEEKS OR ABOUT APRIL 1-10TH, 2013, YOUR KAZ MANUFACTURING(IN COOPERATION WITH AMAZON.COM) FOUND ONE THAT COULD BE DELIVERED IN LESS THAN A WEEK FROM WHEN I PURCHASED THE HUMIDIFIER AND I COULDN'T BE MORE PLEASED WITH IT'S PERFORMANCE AFTER THE 2ND DAYS USE.
I have had one of these when I lived in AZ and it worked fabulous! I would recommend this to everyone that asks me! Excellent product!!
This humidifer is lighter than any old humidifer we've had before, and it work better than an electric fan.
We just purchased this and so far I am very happy with it. With the fan on medium it is quiet enough to watch tv in the same room. Pretty compact for a larger machine. We bought this to replace 2 small units we have right now that we were constantly filling the water tanks on because they didn't hold much.
I choose ther brand Honeywell for the make of my Humidifer as Honeywell has been around for a long time and they are known to be a reliable maker. I thought also that the unit looked attractive to have in nmy living space.
I have a small house that was really dry.
This model humidifier was the right answer.
It is relativley quite and easy to use.
More than pleased with this humidifier. Works excellent! One thing you may need to purchase is a hygrometer to make sure the humidity in your home is at a comfort zone. Only cost me a few dollars for one.
I wish the low speed was a notch quieter, but its a big unit and I can live with it. The two tanks fit easily in my sink to fill it up. I needed the larger size as I have the open kitchen and living room concept, meaning more space to humidify. This unit does the job with ease. I am very happy with it.
We have been using the humidifier for less than a month since we have purchased it on January 30th, but so far we are satisfied with the product since it is more confortable with the new humidity level in our house.
I recently purchased a Honeywell humidifier and it has made a tremendous improvement in the air quality in my home. Before this purchase I noticed that I woke up with a dry mouth in the mornings. It was only after I obtained a thermometer with a humiity meter that I realzed how low the humidy was in my residence. The large water storage capacity makes filling the unit not a ardous chore.
We have a wood-burning stove in our house and had a single-gallon humidifier on each floor of our house, each going through only 2 gallons a day. This humidifier has nearly quadruple the output capability and gives out more than enough moisture (run at level 2 out of 4). It has made a difference in things like not shocking each other so severely and more eye moisture. It is noisier than our smaller humidifier, but we were able to find a big enough place to set it where it isn't as noticeable.
Had one of these humidifers before......son took it over! Needed one for myself.
Good quality product.
I have had this unit for several years and love it. I live in Arizona and its very dry, hot, and dusty. This unit is great . It keeps it coolier in the house and keeps down the dust.
I love this product. It has made such a difference in my home and my health. I was truely surprised how quiet it is.
We really like this humidifier. Was a reasonable price & is very portable with 2 tanks. Very happy with this product.. glad to have found it thru reviews on Amazon. I flip the filter every time I put new water tamks on to give it longer life..Thanks for making a great product.
LARGE MULTI-ROOM CONSOLE HUMIDIFIER.
After only 24 hours unit cured dry mouth/sinuses and eliminated static sparks. The unit dispersed over 3 gallons in that time on MEDIUM fan setting which was not too loud. Actually, the HIGH was quieter than I've heard on some smaller units.
There were no leaks but I felt that refilling the unit was more complicated than I would have liked. My wife will have a bit of a struggle to do the refilling.
I was disappointed that there was no way to monitor the water level in the tanks but I depended on the auto-shutoff which worked fine.
The unit seems well designed to put out a lot of water vapor which is what I need in my large house and the drawbacks are minimal.
The system is Quiet but you have to refill the tanks everyday. This system is running 24/7 because my house has high celing it doesn't automatic stop because it takes the system a long time to bring up the moisture. We have felt a little better but I still see my hair dry. I don't know how long it will last because it runs all day and night long. I hope the motor doesn't burn out. Otherwise, is a good system but need to change tanks everyday which is the bad part.
Not as quiet as I would have liked - makes gurgling noises (when the basin is filling). Motor noise is not too bad...fairly loud on high, but after 3 days of running on high to get the house humidified, I turned it down to low and the noise is not bad.
I've had no problems with it at all. The tanks are a little difficult to fill, as they do not sit level in the sink when filling, but I can balance them while filling and get the cap back on without spilling. Others might have a problem with this. The handle design could be better, so when the tank is placed in the basin, it sits level.
The tanks hold enough water for me to only have to fill twice a day...morning and evening. I expect to have to fill them, since I bought the humidifier to add moisture to my home. The filter has retained it's suppleness and shape for 3 weeks now...and it appears it'll be good for another few weeks. I ordered extra filters just in case I didn't get good results - but so far, I am quite happy.
I recently purchased an HMC 6009 Humidifier which seems to do the job well so far. The only small inconvenience is the water tanks. They are easy to remove but difficult to hold as you fill them up with water. The fan is a bit loud if is set on high but quite on a low setting. Is my first Honeywell humidifier and I hope it last me a few years.
My new cond 1300 square foot condo was so dry that furniture was developing splits and the cupboard panels were shrinking. Purchased the HMC-6009 humidifier and in a 16 hour period it used 5 tanks of water! It has run constantly on high and I see an appreciable difference in the air quality. The cracks in table leaves etc. have begun to tighten up, indicating that they required moisture. It seems to be doing the job and I find it relatively quiet even on high. I will run it on high until the desired humidity is reached and then turn it to low to maintain the level. The tanks are a little awkward to fill, but not nearly as bad as some have indicated. So far so good!
Used it for 1 winter so far. The filling is pretty easy, and the unit is easy to move to the right location. I replaced the filter once, and ran it pretty much 24x7 for a 1800+ sq ft area. On the higest setting it is a little loud, however, if you find the right location it become more like white noise. I would recommend this to anyone looking for whole house humidification.
Have just purchased but am pleased when I compare to other humidifiers I have use. I like the larger size with the 2-tank feature. It is much quieter than my previous humidifier. I also like the option to set a humidity level and the unit will stop when that level is reached. I don't feel I have used long enought to rate the unit a 5.
I like it, seem to work good. I gave it a 4 because I wish it had the percent of humidity and not just a dial to turn.
Seems to work really well ,Not really fond of construction of tanks.Seems like they would break easy,Sharp edges & Hard to manage. Only used for 1 week will know later
how durable these tanks are
Just recieved this unit and completed the set up. The fans are not quiet at the low speed.
Seems to work really well in large areas. Only noticed one thing so far. When one of the tanks emptys, I hear vibration noises sometimes. Can be kind of annoying. But for the most part this is an awesome humidifier!
I love this humidifier, it's quiet and works well. I don't like how it is so hard to find the filters, that it runs out of water so quickly and it's a pain to keep wetting down the filter everytime we fill it. but it is a great product
Humidifier works well but material seem cheap. Tank cracked and broken already after one month of use.
If I am registering this product, chances are I just received it. Not much I can say about it at this point. I did have difficulties attaching the casters on the bottom of the tray and had to call Kaz Customer Service for assistance. To get started and get some humidity in the home right away, I had to turn the fan on high and noticed immediately how loud it is. However, I understand that once the humidity reaches an acceptable level, I can turn it down and it shouldn't be so noisy. It is also putting out cold air which will be great come summer but is not so great now in the winter. Wish I could be more positive but this is it for now. I do have high hopes.
The Humidifier is small , light weight, and does a very good job; however, the water tanks are a terrible design which makes this VERY hard to fill. You cannot fill it in a sink (must be a tub), there is no flat service to set it down, so you must hold it and balance it which is very awkward. If you are not extremely carefull, you wil either break the tanks or spill them. If you are not strong enough to hold a lot of water, for get about this unit! Once these tanks are filled and you can turn upright to hold by the handles, then this is no problem! They need to add a side refil............
No complaints about the humidifier.
My complaint is about the water tanks.
By far, the most handled part of the humidifier is the water tank. And, every once in a while, they get wet and slip out of your hand.
At that point, you are finished. There are NO replacement water tanks.
For that reason alone, I can not recommend purchasing this product.
I find filling the water tanks rather cumbersome since they must be upside down
Is there any way this product can be made auto fill?
The machine works great but after three weeks we started smelling something that smelled like a wet dog. The filter was dark yellow and the customer service agent told us that this is mineral buildup from our water. He said that we "unfortunately have to change the filter ever month" and that there is no way to clean the filter. These filters are $25 each! We had no idea that this was going to be an ongoing expense like this when we bought this model. I suggested that he put this information on the box so that a person buying this model will understand the ongoing expense associated with using this.
The tanks are extremely hard to fill. I have another similar humidifier, and those tanks, while still not easy, are ten times easier to manage when filling. And having this labeled as "Quiet" in large letter is just insulting. It makes a heck of a racket on any setting other than low - and even then you need to place a heavy weight on top of it to keep it from rattling.
