Honeywell Gallon Cool Moisture Humidifier

This machine works. It's simple, easy to clean, and works well in the 140 sq ft space I live in. The filter lasts for a solid two months with daily use and occasional soaking in water. Because of its small size, it's only able to maintain the humidity at 30-35%, sometimes higher depending on the weather. The tank has to be refilled often, but i prefer doing regular changes of water anyways just to keep the machine clean.
I've purchased 3 humidifiers from Kaz. I love how easy it is to find what you need. This is the 2nd Honeywell that I have ordered. I love the fine mist that it creates and the filters are very reasonalby priced. It really helps my daughter with allergies.
Kaz always ships within a week and I've never had a problem with any order.
Last night was my first night in using the Honeywell 2.0 Gallon Cool Moisture Humidifier.
It appears that it might just do the job to get rid of my cough and congestion that I have had for about two weeks. I could actually breathe a little better last night and hope that with each passing night I'll get better and better.
It's small enough to fit where I want it fit and I only hope that I can maintain it properly to get the most "mileage" out of this product.
Thank you very much for giving me this oppotunity to share my thought.
With the dry air where we live, this humidifier made a big differrence when we sleep.
I have suffered with the low humidity since we- re located to Utah. 5 minutes after we turned the humidor on I was breathing better. Thankyou.
Just wanted to let you know that we bought another unit as we were so pleased with the first one.
One for upstairs and one for our family room in the basement.
Easy to clean and fill. Easy to move from room to room.
Its the perfect size for filling and using in our bedroom. It is very quiet and adds just the right mist into our room. Great product and reasonably priced.
I just got a second humidifier of the same model to use in the living room. It's effective and fairly quiet.
Easy to operate and clean. Wish the filters were sold in the retail store rathr than having to order them online from Home Depot.
The recently purchased unit seems to work very well and runs quietly. I was impressed with the ease of set-up and the easy to understand instruction booklet.
This a wonderful product, my sister bought it and recommended it, I also would recommend this product, it helped cleared my sinuses.
Just started to use the humidifier I bought today--HCM 890 series-and can already feel the difference in the humdity in by bedroom. Quite easy to use and I think it is going to resolve the dry air problem in my suite.
The Cool Moisture Humidifier is really needed in the Valley of the Sun in AZ.
I used to wake up with a dry mouth and dry nasal passages. Not anymore.
This humidifier doesn't look antiseptic so it blends in with any room and it is very quiet and doesn't spread dust.
This is the second one I bought this winter sesason. I have an 8 gallon humidifier that is hard to handle. The ones I just purchased are easy to handle and clean
Great little machine. This is our second Honeywell Humidifier. Our last one ran nonstop for about four months at a time during our winters. This one has a built in fan but is fairly quiet and operates well. Looking forward to the same great output that we got from our last one.
I found this humidifier very good for 12 hours of humid air in my bedroom and bought one for a friend. Mine is two years old and just great.
Very pleased. I have one in the sunroom with my plants and it is doing a fine job keeping moisture in the air. I use the second one in the bedroom and have noticed we are not nearly as clogged in the mornings. I would definitely buy another.
I had the humidifier and the water tank broke. I saw no way of ordering only a new tank. So bought the the whole unit. I could have done with the new tank only. I am happy with the humidifiers performance, but somewhat perturbed that i had to waste a perfectly good motor, fan anf stand to replace a cracked, leaking tank.

Product seems to working good. There was not a registration card in the box the humidifier came in.
Do not like having to go to Facebook to sign for up for a chance to win you Comfort Package. When you live in a rural community you do not generally have a quick internet system.
This product is very good, I recommend it to everyone who is having indoor allergy to dust and mold.
Our Holistic Physician recommended a humidifier for allergy and sinus problems. In only one night we have seen excellent results, The only downside is that the humidifier is a bit noisy.
Everything arrived in A1 condition. The unit was easy to prep and assemble and created a superb sleeping environment without alot of noise! A great value for the money!!
Opened the box immediately, followed set-up instructions, turned it on and it worked like a charm so far!!!!! Yeah!!!!
I bought this unit for my office at work and I love it. Its just perfect for the size and room I needed to help with my dry office. Love this product would recommend to anyone.
I had one of these humidifiers before. Lasted 5 years, I guess I was expecting more... It worked well during that time, and I ran it pretty close to non stop Dec-Mar.
I find the filters a little pricey and had to go on order on line to get them. I wish the store I purchased this product from would carry the filters.
Our usual humidifier stopped working and I needed to replace it and quick. This one was reasonably priced and works well, so I guess it will do.
I NEEDED A HUMIDIFIER FOR MY BEDROOM DUE TO A MEDICAL CONDITION.I LOOKED AT MANY DIFFERERNT SIZES AND TYPES ON LINE,BUT THE HONEYWELL HCM-890 HAD GOOD REVIEWS. FOR THAT REASON,THE SIZE AND EASE OF OPERATION MADE ME ORDER THE UNIT.I ALSO BOUGHT A HYGROMETER TO MONITOR THE ROOM'S HUMIDITY WHICH IS VERY IMPORTANT.PUTTING THE UNIT ON HIGH FAN DOES MAKE MORE NOISE THAN ON LOW FAN.
only had it for a week so far, but works good it is a little noisy at night if trying to sleep. I do use distilled water, even though in the manual it said you do not have to.
light weight and easy to use. would recommend some kind of light feature if possible to see in the dark and to indicate time to change filter.
I purchased this item for my cat. He is a persian so his nose is small and it helps him clear his passageways. I like this item. It is similar to one I had years ago.
Very nice. A bit smaller than I anticipated and high speed is a bit noisy, but overall, a great humidifier.
Very easy to fill with water.
The unit has been working real well. The area that I live in has very hard water. The old unit that I had was not one with a filter.
It put white powder all over the house and started to ruin my electronic gear. So in order to use it had to buy to buy distilled water which was a lot effort.hauling it home from the store.
With the Honeywell unit I am able to use the water out of the tap.
I like way its simple design is what I need to keep the humidity in my bedroom up to what is healthy.
This humidifer is the perfect size for an average bedroom or room. The smaller 2 gallon tank is perfect becasue the water does not sit for days on end, eliminating the worry of germs and bacterial growth.
However, this humidifer is noisy even when the fan is set on low. Takes some getting used to the white noise.
The unit is much more noisy than expected. Also, the ad indicate a two gallon unit. I assumed the reservoir was 2 gallon, but it is much smaller which requires very frequent filling.
I love everything about this little humidifier except it is EXTREMELY NOISY!!! That is the only reason I'm not giving it a 5 rating.
It is small, well-made, study, lightweight and easy to clean.
I got it for my bedroom, but it makes so much noise - even on low - that I can't sleep.
It goes to the thrift store next week, with a note that it is highly recommended for someone with hearing problems.
If they could solve the noise problem, I'd buy three.
I have only used the Humidifier for a couple of days but so far, so good. One question: I plan to run it at night but find no information on any kind of automatic shut off. I'd appreciate knowing if there would be any problem with filling it and letting it run for eight or nine hours. If it should run out of water and the filter dry will it shut down? I purchased the item at Paul's ACE Hardware in Fountain Hills, AZ which I do not see on your above list.
I was delighted when I saw this is a Kaz appliance as I used to use your vaporizers for my children years ago.
I love the ease with which the unit sets up and how long it will work on one tank. But our first unit malfunctioned and the water wouldn't stay in the tank. Kaz was great and replaced it quickly for us because we had only purchased it a few months before. The replacement unit must have been not been quality checked well because it leaks at the seal. That said, I'd even purchase a new tank but didn't see that option.
The noise factor is significant. In fact, husband won't allow this unit to run at night. (for me it's an acceptable 'white noise' that actually enhances sleep).
Twice in 24 hours this small 2 gallon unit must be taken to the sink to be filled; and this even though I have two units on the floor where I use it. With a third once a day humidifyer on the lower floor, I have finally added enough humidity to this dry Colorado home. There was a time when Honeywell made a unit that one could fill once a day at the tank itself and the fan was relatively quiet. There was nothing wrong with the former design; so why was that product discontinued?
My former humidifyers for which -after nearly a decade of use- the motors quit turning the fan, had another positive characteristic: the large fan fitted on the top drew in lint dust from the air and trapped it in the water. So, the unit was also an air cleaner.
But no more added benefits and inexpensive filters. I am living with this humidifyer even though the design is inferior to the former Honeywell units and is a great deal more trouble.
First experience with Honeywe; agree it is rather loud but that doesn't really bother me that much. Only use it at night so not a problem filling it once a day--would be a nuisance if I had to rely on it all day. Only problem I found was that after using it for about 2 weeks, the reservoir slipped out of my wet hands into the sink and cracked, rendering it useless. I don't imagine it will be cost effective to replaced the reservoir, so probably will look for brand that's easier to handle.
Does a fine job in getting moisture in the air of our bedroom, but the noise level is a little loud.
Does a good job getting moisture in the air, louder than I would like though. Pretty noisey even on the low setting. It was a good price, guess I could have paid more for something a little quieter.
Plastic on upper edge of base where motor seats broken off in several inch
region. A large 1.5 inch crack inside the plastic of the tank. Obviously not
good quality. I won''t take the chance again.
This humidifier is terrible. Loud and does not produce humidity. Would really like my money back.
The bottom was chipped at places around the top. The number to call did not work for shortage or damage products. Had to call the ordering line and the person there help me greatly.
IM LEAVING IN FLORIDA AND THIS FILTER GET TO MUCH FUNGUS INSIDE I ALWAYS CLEAN THE PRODUCT WITH WHITE VINEGAR BUT IT STILL GROWING COULD HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM ,PLEASE, MARIA E
I purchased a honeywell humidifier which broke after 3 days due to a design flaw in the water tank. I contacted honeywell customer service several times and got no response. Would not recommend buying honeywell.
This unit is very noisy–even at the low setting. I couldn't sleep with it on which is exactly when I needed it. It requires weekly cleaning and a new filter everytime you stop using it for more than a week. Mine also fell apart within the first 24 hours of use. I cleaned it and tried to use it while sleeping but it was too loud and I had to turn it off. You must take it apart, empty and re-fill it when you move it. I tried doing that the next morning and a gasket fell off the water tank cap. According to Kaz, the manufacturer, it would require a new cap. Kaz asks that you return the unit to them according to the literature they supply in the box with the unit. I called Kaz for some help and they suggested returning it to the store. Kaz would not pay for return shipping of their broken unit.
