Excellent Product

These filters are great!  The HPA-150 uses 2 of them so be sure to order the HRF-H2.  The HEPA filters will last about a year IF you change the pre-filter frequently.  The instruction manual says to change the pre-filter every 3 months, this is WAY too long.  Changing the less costly pre-filters more often will prolong the life of the more expensive HEPA filters.

Clean air v. Cost

This is a great air filter and you really can tell a difference in the air quality. I have a Siberian husky in Texas and for those of you who don't know, they tend to shed....a lot. I think these filters serve there purpose to rid my nose of horrible allergies and continuous sneezing. However I noticed the filters said to replace both the pre filter (B) and this filter (H) every 12 months. While I wish I could say I had the luxury of waiting that long, unfortunately I found that I needed to replace the filters (especially the pre filters) more frequently than each year. With the amount of filters I have purchased I feel that their costs are starting to overwhelm my need for them. Nevertheless the filters do serve their purpose but the bottom line is to use your air purifier wisely because the air doesn't stay clean forever!
